The mainstream media isn't a very diverse set of views. The broadcast element, which reaches far more than the newspapers is dominated by the 'neo liberal elite economically and a faux 'social justice' elite socially.....as if the two could exist simultaneously without hypocrisy in the real world. Not that I support most of what falls under the heading of 'social justice' today. No controversial topics are raised out of fear that reality could amusingly cause violence and/or riots. Essentially the mainstream media treats people like emotional children who can't cope with difficult issues. Like Sun editors who highlight text in bold so that those only interested in the pictures will read. One of the things Trump is/was right about is that the mainstream media lies. Which is amusing of course because he also lies about a lot himself. I say lie, when they would think of it as 'a lens'. But I think anything you do knowingly can be called a lie. This was widely doing the rounds on Twitter. And it's BBC3 which tries to be young and trendy, they're online only innit. It's hardly BBC news. Newsround's twitter account would be more credible. I don't care it's BBC3, I don't care it's not BBC News, it's still a political statement by the BBC, whether it's aimed at young or old. It's not credible for Newsround either as it's pushing the BBC political agenda onto kids. Edited by Penge Eagle (21 May 2018 11.20pm)

It's a silly picture. The bloke they've nicked it off of had it tagged as "UK crowds v US crowds" nothing more. I meant your complaint would be more valid if it was on Newsround, as they represent themselves as bringing someone the news. BBC3 bring you all kind of weird s***. Take a look at the sort of bollocks they think is important. [Link] and then you can see why anyone rational files (almost) anything they produce under ignore.

Now Trump isn't even allowed to block people on Twitter! Some New York judge.......I wonder why Obama was allowed to block people but when it's the left crying about it to left wing judges suddenly it's relevant. I would have thought that this was an infringement of his personal rights as an actual citizen....but there you go...This judge sees it the other way around. It will be interesting to see how this develops if he contests it.....he could of course just mute people but I think he should contest this. Edited by Stirlingsays (24 May 2018 5.04am)

Edited by Stirlingsays (24 May 2018 5.04am) I did not get this. If it is an official government site then then to a point fair enough. If it's Trump's private feed then surely its his right. Many of the people he has blocked disagreed with his politics so you could say he doesn't like criticism. However the report I saw also said there were many abusive comments, so he's not allowed to block that? Even if it was a government site you don't have to give people the right to abuse you.

I'm OK with this ruling because it's POTUS, people have a right to free speech and it's the same rule for politicians across both aisles. My issue with Twitter is that they use an algorithm to promote anti-Trumpers with 'blue ticks' directly under Trump's tweets and downgrade the (often many) tweets in support. You actually see the organic, real replies on his Facebook posts. Edited by Penge Eagle (24 May 2018 8.41am)

The POTUS is also a private citizen. So he should have access to all the same laws as does a private citizen. The account he uses to tweet is the same account he used before he became president.

I wouldn't be surprised if Trump simply ignores this ruling. Twitter unfortunately does promote all ticked and supposedly widely followed accounts posts to the top. They just leave them in chronological order, or allow you decide how they're ordered at least.

No, it's the left-wing 'blue ticks' are always directly underneath – not the conservative 'blue tick' pundits who support him. Funny that it's every time.

I'm referring to anything anyone puts on twitter, not Trump specifically, and it'll still be because they're more followed or more retweeted than the other ones you are talking about. If he replied to someone/something his would probably be directly underneath whatever it was too.
