That's interesting for me! I was getting a pain in the area around my heart, just as I must have got infected, about 3 days before the symptoms showed up. So I contacted my doctor and was due to have an ECG and blood tests tomorrow, which has now been postponed as I am still testing positive. No pain there now though. Any movement on this? Hopefully all is well. There's been another count of covid (new varient I assume) in my extended family of late. Elderly but all fully vaxxed and this will no doubt provide further immunity against whatever comes next. Good health to you and yours.

I am feeling a lot better, but oddly still testing positive. The test is negative at first, but after a few hours shows up as positive. I am assured I am no longer infective, so have resumed activities and had my ECG and blood tests today. Still lethargic though, There is a lot of Covid here , which is putting a lot of stress on the NHS, not only in the numbers in hospital but due to the staff shortages. I don't know which variety I got. I just know it was nasty. I hope you recover from the bout of nastiness you have recently been subjected to.

The result is void if it shows positive after 15 minutes I beleive. Some might be thirty mins but they do give a time in the booklets. Edited by cryrst (06 Apr 2022 10.17pm)

I tend to agree with Cryst here in that I wouldn't read too much into tests being positive hours later. If it's negative minutes after you've taken it, even if there is some inactive virus in your system it can't be a big issue. It does sound like its knocked you for six, but you're in a demographic that can be more heavily impacted. It definitely sounds like you're on the mend and so there's more positives (no pun!) than negatives.

Edited by cryrst (06 Apr 2022 10.17pm) The instructions say to wait for 30 mins before reading the result, but don't cover what a positive red line appearing later means. The advice I have though is that this, whilst unusual, doesn't mean I am still infectious.

Lateral Flow tests are useless people should not be wasting time with them. If you have covid or suspect you have/had vitamin D 5000iu per day (If you have covid and no issues with liver etc taking 20000 for a few days is fine best to have oil based versions and with fatty meal) lay off the processed plus high carb foods also extra taurine (natures life is best one available in pure form it can be purchased from iherb or amazon and start slow 1-2g per day if you are fine with it slightly increase over time until you get to 5g until feeling better) I have suggested this to many people even ones which mentioned long covid and all had improvements.

Heart inflammation after Covid vaccine ‘no more common than after other jabs’ - [Link] Good to see knowledge in this area panning out. It's looking like the vaccine may be as safe (even in young men) as any other. Reassuring if we find ourselves in the same situation again and are tasked with making a quick decision that is as informed as possible. In that scenario initial jabs would likely lay the foundation of protection as they did here, so it's important to get a handle on the realities of them, common factors or concerns that might come up, and how concerned we should actually be when scaremongering is dialed up. I actually find LFT's a very useful tool in the fight against covid. I would do them regulary before meeting up with people or after a football game!

No study has been done to show anything. The problem with covid as well is it's not in any scientists interest to go against it also no one will fund against. Look up the lies the vaccine companies have told and how they manipulated data for there own trials which was not even proper trials to begin with this speaks massive words about them. Many reports of young people have health issues after having vaccine these reports are kept very quiet and will be deemed as invalid due to its by association yet that method is fine when used the other way by these same doctors/scientists.
