After this weekends games and the 6 pointers between the bottom sides mathematical safety day is a lot closer than any of us expected four games ago. The Leeds v Leicester, Leicester v Everton games will almost certainly determine who fills that 3rd spot. Forest also play saints. These games will be blood and thunder! I can however see sides no longer trying once they are safe and have nothing to play for and I can also see some games being played out as draws as it suits both teams. Wolves v Palace, Bournemouth v West ham, palace v west ham for example. But maybe that's just the cynic in me!

Westham seem to have found somthing better that suits them. 3:0 up at half-time. Edited by Hannes (23 Apr 2023 2.57pm) Edited by Hannes (23 Apr 2023 2.58pm)

As did Grobbelaar when we were relegated in the Oldham season
Enjoying getting up later and not having someone who knows better than me (apart from the missus of course). |

Not exactly a perfect set of results from our perspective tonight however seeing Arsenal absolutely fold, Chelsea slump to their fifth defeat in five under Frank de Lampard and WHU plus the weed losing I’m slightly happier than this time yesterday. As for relegation, Everton looking a real possibility. Forest will be massively boosted by that result however I think then and Leeds still well in it. I can’t see anything but the end of the road for Southampton. If we are to win or even draw vs WHU I’ll be more or less convinced of our safety, if not already, and hope I can sit back and spectate with fascination the relegation battle over the next few games.
Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!! |

If saints beat bournemouth it will drag them back in to it.

Forest winning , although I saw it coming as Brighton would have been deflated after the weekend has massively blown it all open again (not so much for us as I still think 37 points will be more than enough ) I think it will be Leicester

Id say the results were perfect. Forest will not catch us.
