Within that conceding 7 at Home and 2 against 10 men.

A total of 20 mins approaching anything what could be considered a competitive/acceptable performance out of a total of 270 mins played.

But that's my opinion and I respect others for theirs whereas you seem to feel the need to immediately make it personal and confrontational.

Notice nothing heard from "your Mate" Wisbech Eagle lately who remarkably also comes from Cornwall and even more remarkably has a posting style very similar to your own, including the Mr Hodgson references.

Odd that ain't it..!!

I'm still waiting for you to provide examples of the previous situations we've had with Mr Hodgson where he has suggested to you that he hasn't a clue about keeping us out of a relegation fight

Relegation fight and I'm not being personal or confrontational and if I am I am sorry, I don't mean to be.

As this is referencing me, i NEVER mentioned a post of yours, i merely stated that most on here by others/all were bollux.

No, you have to turn it into a 'pity me' post, bit like your alter-egos did . . . Allegedly

What the hell are you going on about!!

The last 3 games are previous..!!

As is our 2020 record under Roy; P34, W9, D8, L17 GD -24..!!

Is that previous enough for you..!!

I mentioned this yesterday and questioned where Roy was in all this, but got told I know nothing about football - this is the coaches job..!!

Can you imagine Alex Ferguson after a first half performance like yesterdays leaving it to Queiroz, McLaren, Knox etc.. to get his point over - no..!!

Having first hand experience of Semi-Pro football, it was the Manager that gave you the "kick up the A@s" when things weren't going well if anything the coach was the pacifier.

It all just seemed a little odd to me and pointed towards that Roy for whatever reason is unable to get his point across and motivate the players.

I have said before on here IMO Roy has lost the dressing room and the players are not playing for him - yesterday and his curious after match comments just reaffirm that for me.

But as I have said that is my experience and opinion and others are welcome to their own and their own interpretation.

COYP

It was me that said you know nothing about football if you don't think that from time to time coaches take the forefront in the half time team talk. However I did NOT say it was the coaches job - that's your interpretation to suit your own defenceless comments - you sensibly decided to swerve any response to me, I imagine to prevent embarrassing yourself any further.

Anyway, being at a loose end, I decided to do a bit of research. Here's just one example ;

Not just an immense presence on the pitch, Keown was tasked by Arsene Wenger to give his half-time team talk when Arsenal found themselves 2-1 down to Liverpool deep into the 2003-04 Premier League season.

Having been knocked out of the FA Cup and Champions League in the space of three days the week prior to this Liverpool clash, Wenger knew preserving their unbeaten status was paramount.

Thierry Henry went on to score a hat-trick, and the Gunners won 4-2 without Wenger saying a word at half-time.

Erm, you posted to me ....

TP, Q? Why do you always insist on posting 'Mr Hodgson' & not Roy or RH, like everybody else on here? Your posting style is very similar to other *ahem* posters very similar to yours. Some of what you post, imo, is true, most of it, like others is made up bollux & a total love-in FOR Roy/RH.

I've had no other posts with you, so what made you write all that then?

Why would it bother you how I write our managers name? ..what's my posting style got to do anything I write about our manager doing a decent job with the squad at his disposal ..and why is stating that Bollux!
Sorry, but you come across a bit rude to me.

Happy New year to you anyway.

Happy New year Plaistow Eagle, we are all good Palace fans when it comes down to it.
The winding up is purely because some on here feel our squad should be in the top ten where others feel they'd be in the bottom three if it wasn't for the manager, sorry if I'm being personal.

I didn't swerve responding to you I just didn't think it warranted a response..!!

I've recounted my experience from football - As I said that was my experience/opinion and others are welcome to their own views and interpretation.

Mine is my own experience whereas I notice you needed to research yours - Hmmm..!!

General thoughts / speculation:

I suspect that Parish had an idea for the team to play a more possession based game, and build an Academy that would provide future first teamers that would avoid the costly policy of signing seasoned pros, hence the appointment in 2017 of ex- Ajax man Frank de Boer. Unfortunately the plan quickly disintegrates and experienced and steady Roy Hodgson takes over and after an admirable first season Palace finish 11th.
Fast forward to 2020 and Hodgson is still in charge, on a one year contract extension, having seen the club finish comfortably mid-table in previous seasons.
The style of football is often dour and defensive, attracting criticism from some quarters, yet Hodgson knows what it takes to ensure Premiership survival.
Question: with a good number of players contracts expiring, and a squad that averages around 30 years of age, is Hodgson the man to take the club to the next level or has he been holding the fort while the Academy comes to fruition and players with expired contracts are released? Does Parish now have any ambition other than Premiership survival, or does he have a bold plan for the 2021 season with a new manager at the helm? Hodgson's contract expires in 2021 and he himself is no spring chicken at 73 years of age.
Personally I would like to believe that Parish has a plan for the future that incorporates getting rid of the deadwood and overpaid players who contribute little, whilst integrating players from the Academy into the first team. Regarding the Academy I believe he has said as much. I am not convinced Roy Hodgson is the person for this task although I am appreciative of his efforts in maintaining Palace's Premiership status.

Mr Hodgson and his dear wife Sheila celebrate their 50th (Golden) wedding anniversary next year.
