I think everyone want this sorted but I doubt a majority want for people to be moved without consent. Also as others have said allowing standing in the central block will restrict others views, thus causing complaints and potentially significant loss of income. Also the very real threat of Licensing authorities closing that part of ground and also preventing a safe standing trial plus new stand etc. Standing in block B has been tolerated (ignored)as it is isolated and has little effect elsewhere.

no they wont choose the team!! but as a unit of 100 people they contribute around £50.000 a year in ticket sales x 13 years £650.000 + matchday booze food so lets call it 1 million over 13 years. On top of that they do create a good match day experience, help the atmosphere, help marketing and all round good for the club. So I personally believe they should be listned to and owed preferential treatment.

Which is no more nor less than the 100 people in Block E whose seats they wish to take over will contribute. Since so many of them have held the same seats since the stand was built, you could say that they have also shown immense loyalty to the club through thick and thin, which is just as relevant and important as anything the HF have done.

You don’t see pictures of block E sitting at the back on brochures for making the club revenue, but you do with the HF and you do see people happy to go and join in by sitting in the Arfur corner, which has one of the worst views in the ground. Yes people were choosing and filling up that block before others.

I agree that loads of fans have shown loyalty through very hard times, in the lower if you like, including the HF, but there aren’t any fans that I know of that have put so much time into making such a noticeable impact the potential fan base and world has sat up and taken notice of.

If I compare what they’ve been doing, have influenced, have improved, and been used as marketing material compared to the days when I was travelling everywhere watching Palace or watching Palace every home match for years and years then their efforts and effects blows mine out of the water tbh. Speaking to someone who isn’t in the HF but has a connection surprised me how much they do and organise so I won’t be surprised if once it’s gone it’s gone.

Every fan is important, but this lot, whether people like it or not or like them, and there’s a lot I don’t like I’ve pisted btw, have a far greater impact on the experience that many value at football and have a very big pull for potential fans now and hopefully in the future. If we become a soulless experience we can forget all of that.

just looked at the petition to get the HF back, they didnt go far, as i understand they still go but dont sit/stand as a group, like all good palace supporters they have the club at heart,

sorry cancel above they dont have the club at heart only there egos, and it shows at every game they dont give there all, because if they did they would carrier on with how they supported them in the past until to the issue is resolved,
I act like a teenager when i go and im 60, and never turned my back on the club because of something i didnt like,Eg uncle Rons start with the club

if they have got bored with doing the same thing week after week i understand that and is costly and time consuming, and i reckon its only a handful that do the extra work regarding displays, but dont turn your back on the team because you cant get the move you want

just a after thought if the away fans was still next to them would they want to move then.

I love the HF and the atmosphere, but unfortunately you can’t make long standing season ticket holders move if they don’t want too.

I don’t see what else the club can do?

It seems as if the HF and and the club have a good relationship going by past displays, their season ticket arrangements and other dealings. But the one time the club can’t accommodate their request, some a quick to criticise.

Unless if missed something the only options are;
A) the season ticket holders all decide to move to the unsold season ticket seats in block b or around the ground (unlikely)
B) the HF return to block be and buy up the remaining in unsold season ticket seats
C) the HF continue to strike.

Yes, and on the basis of your figures the remaining 25,000 supporters would contribute £250m over the same period. Financially speaking, the HF are almost an irrelevance. I'm very sorry that they've upped sticks but there's no case for handing out special treatment to them.

Your not listening!! 100 as a group is more power full than 100 individuals. on your bassis why have a family section? why sell cheap tickets to kids when we could have adults only and pay full price? Because you know and I know it benifits the club long term as do the fanatics!!
NO BUISNESS must stand still, it needs to move with the times, move with the trends move with greater good off the buisness. So for that reason I would like them moved into the middle and have no problem upsetting a few for the greater good.

They haven’t turned their back on the team. They’re all going and sitting on their hands like lots of fans who also do that but demand or say why aren’t they coming back. See?

Many who were vexed as to why they could not renew in the LH rang the box office, who were instructed not to say anything. When pressed though they did give out basic info such as the HF want to move to the centre blocks to make a singing section.

This then went viral on twitter and facebook.

Club should have been ready with the actual full proposal before releasing any season tickets, so the lower tier weren't behind other parts of the ground

Ah fair enough, I did not know that had happened.

As Rudi said: it should've been properly sorted out ages ago, with the proper consultation and the appropriate sensitivity towards the situation. I understand Block E members being upset, as the situation was held very poorly, and I can see why they thought it was little more than "we're getting kicked out of our seats." And I think the way the club allowed the HF to receive flak from other fans is the main reason why they packed it in for the season.

Actually the club can move anyone but the point is if the club didn’t bollox this up and the HF statement had been released back in late winter instead of holding back ST EARLY BIRD sales and created and let the rumours and scaremongering spread we wouldn’t be in this situation now. Some debate and discussions would’ve been had, the priority booking stages would’ve been public knowledge, we would’ve heard a lot of people who in recent days on the bbs have gone from against this to very in favour of it after reading the proposal. But no, the club fecked it right up and that’s why the HF aren’t there as a group.

Of course it may not have happened this season anyway but it wasn’t given and neither did the club give it a chance. But they still plastered the HF all over sales promotional material. The club are at fault in a major way so should and need to get round the table with them and work to resolve this usual Palace fvck up.
