Basically common sense that most GKs haven't trained or grown up as out field players so suddenly expecting them to turn into a top sweeper at an elite level just because Neuer can is borderline cretinous. Mind you the irony if Hennessey is displaced for not being good enough with his feet.

Because we have such low expectations of him whenever he raises himself to average many fans see it as brilliant, can't quite understand it. We have a few problems at the moment but we MUST sign a keeper.

To be fair to Hennessey he had a better game today. One mistake in the first half when he came for a cross & completely missed it. Still needs to be replaced though.

Critize him all season for every goal, he concedes. I'm not denying we need a keeper but a striker and some attacking options is why we didn't get anything out of Liverpool. Hennessy deserves praise and made some great saves.

Despite the criticisms of a small yet vocal cohort of opposition supporters masquerading as Palace fans, he looks like he's rolling up his sleeves and getting on with it.. ..and in so doing, he shows that he has more balls than all of those critics put together. If it wasn't for the tall man in goal today the score would have been far more. Didn't stand a chance with the goal. No idea what Luka thought because doing. We looked so much better today with the back 3 flexing to a five when needed. Thought Ruben LC showed class again.
