I have a question..

Back in October David Cameron made a statement that 'Russian bombing in Syria would increase radicalisation and increase terrorism'.

Could anyone enlighten me as to what is different with our bombs to the Russian ones that ensures ours dont ?

Obviously not (for some reason?) given the responses so far.

Oh yeah, and we have Brimstone missiles which are way more accurate/controllable.

We were told that when we invaded Iraq many many moons ago.
Same s***, different day. Another generation fooled.

We weren't.

They're new. We are one of only two countries who have them.

What you presumably meant to post was that you believe we've been lied to on both occasions? We were lied to about WMDs in Iraq, I'm not sure that saying we have one of the most accurate missiles is the same thing.

We were.
A diet of bulls*** is bad for you. Stop eating it.

Time to move forward together.

The left are wetting themselves again, sending death threats to MPs and quoting Hermann Goering. People that use unverified videos of civilian premises being hit by Russian planes to undermine Cameron seem quite reasonable in comparison.

"Momentum"...... it wouldn't surprise me if one or more of our comrades on here wasn't a member.

The apology will be forgotten about after Christmas but people's perception of what a muddled fool Corbyn is won't be!

If Labour want to be regarded as a credible alternative party to the Tories then having him as leader relying on Diane Abbot to be his spokesperson is not the way to do it.

Are you talking about public perception or what the press say? There's a difference. Of course the press are trying to discredit him, the media barons are the ones with most to lose if Corbyn gains even more popularity.

Problem is we have been down this road before where in we get the story of the hyper accurate missiles now, and then later the fact that they ended up being 10-20% of the munitions used which comes out much later.

The issue though isn't so much the accuracy of a bomb, but the blast radius. I have no problem with assassination of know IS fighters and striking targets per se, but when you rely on a high explosive bomb to do so, based on human intelligence, the accuracy of the weapon isn't really a defining factor.

The issue also for me, is about the lack of a capacity to back up air support militarily, and that the situation will just be a circle of they 'bomb us' we 'bomb them' and grind down into a situation in which is a stalemate at best.

Even backing the more moderate rebels isn't likely to deliver a stable Syria either and the Assad regime is a no-go and sadly the idea of an Kurdish state of Syria will never be accepted.

That said the idea of going after oil revenue and infrastructure is a good one, as that remains the only one that can be linked to a long term goal of undermining IS.

The original story was about 75% of the front page, a picture with a superimposed jester hat and more inside. The apology was 2 lines bottom left of the front page and more on page 2.

Embarrassing for The Sun but most readers will have missed or skipped it. The Ipso are pretty toothless, the apology should have the same prominence as the original lies.

I think Corbyn will become more popular, obviously there are those (Sun/Mail readers) that will never change but I genuinely think he will earn a lot of peoples respect.

I don't like the bloke but I do like what he has done to politics, however brief it may last.
