To be fair most of "mainstream" is BS even a large % of what is claimed to be official is as well and regarding science that is the same due to where does the money come from the organizations which want to push vaccines/treatments not cures this is a big problem.

These same people control the health services which means all these doctors etc people always like to use as example are part of the broken system.

Covid infections, and hospitalisations, are rising again. This time in tandem.

However, there is good news too. At the start of the pandemic, in early 2020, pre-vaccines and or treatments, the death rate from Covid was about 20 times worse than from flu. Now, with high numbers of the fully vaccinated and new treatments, the death rate is about the same. So although the vaccines are apparently not stopping infection, they are helping stop severe disease.

The infection rate has definitely gone up locally. My bowling partner tested positive yesterday, and as they are clinically vulnerable have been ultra cautious. They blame people thinking it's all over. They are seriously unwell, in bed and isolated as they live alone. Not nice.

Then this morning my wife tested positive. She has had no contact with my friend, and nor have I, for over a week. She has a bad cough, headache and feels low, but not too bad.

I have a cough and sore throat but so far have tested negative.

You may escape it; there have been several couples round here where one has caught it but not the other.

Thanks for the good wishes. My wife seems brighter today. I now have a headache, but am still negative. So we will go on avoiding each other's spaces. Fortunately, we have a guest room with its own bathroom, so the kitchen is the only place we both have to use, and we are being careful, cleaning up after ourselves and washing our hands.

It must be a lot harder in bigger, crowded, households!

We do. I try to avoid places like that at the best of times. We are well stocked for food. Whilst I might be infectious, I feel obliged to avoid other people. So walking the dog in an uncrowded area is my way at the moment.

Despite American fast food eateries being renowned for their hygiene and contributions to physical wellbeing, I think this probably a wise move.
