Not only benefit (although their economy is in a bit of trouble at the moment) but have to keep Southern Europe weak to keep the value of it down. That is the horrendous catch 22 of the Eurozone and why it is such a murderous disaster. The case for Greece having its own currency by way of helping it get out of s*** is bloody strong but that cannot be allowed to happen. One of the many reasons why I struggle to understand the almost dogmatic devotion to the EU that many Remainers display when it causes so much harm not only to other Europeans but also the impact of the common agricultural policy in terms of tarrifs imposed on imports from third world nations. Now I am not going to present myself as some bleeding heart liberal but when you understand how Germany can be one of the leading exporters of coffee, when it does not grow a bean itself, then you do have to question the fairness of it all. And don't even start me on the ludicrous set up with the Commission. Utterly beyond belief how the EU is run with it encouraging the sort of nepotism at the most senior of levels that would be slated if it was seen in Russia or Africa.

I genuinely apologise if you are not Nick Nick but you are here on a wind up, probably still smarting from your BBS ban and bored. Be nice. This is not the BBS. You get fair treatment here. We like to debate but we don't like smartarses or people who use liberal buzzwords in a feeble attempt to silence others.

But seriously when you're presented with a vaguely coherent argument, instead of countering with an alternative you just resort to unpleasantness. I made the mistake of thinking you had a few more grey cells than rolf but I was wrong (again). It might have been a little dig....but I wouldn't call it unpleasant personally....cheer up Stevie boy....You take some of this stuff too seriously. Originally posted by steve1984

Why do so many people find this so difficult to understand? That's not a benefit, just explaining how the game changes political slogans like EU shackles might appeal to you but everyday people wanna know about jobs, inflation, interest rates etc. when will the unicorns arrive?

Control over immigration possibly. I think I have stated my primary reasons for voting Leave about 10 times already. I consider immigration from Europe an issue as regard wage suppression, organised crime and pressure on resources but immigration from the rest of the world has proven a much more contentious issue.

And that is in the current deal so why is it not for you.
