May I suggest this thread gets closed, the singing section is happening.....end of and to be quite honest some of the replies on here are getting boring/tiresome

Close the thread! For the greater good, close the thread!

We don't need this level of freedom of speech challenging our position.

Having read your tedious post, may I suggest that you don't have to read the comments on this thread.

You deliberately write like a child on this thread to get a reaction. Others who share your opinion are able to discuss it without persistent sarcasm and snipes.

On a previous message you said you’d been going since the 60’s. If true, your behaviour for someone for your age is embarrassing. Take a look at yourself.

If I was able to read this thread and ignore your comments, I would. I concur with other posters that this thread should be closed now. Too many strong feelings and insults (myself included).

Threads aren't closed unless they become little more than slanging matches and this one certainly doesn't fit the bill.

It isn't too difficult to ignore comments from any particular individual and in fact there is one fairly prominent poster on HOL who I feel is nothing more than a pompous pr1ck but I don't rise to the bait

For what it’s worth, I’m 28 and have been a season ticket holder at the back of block d in the lower holmesdale for 20/21 years.

I was at the Grimsby game and hated being next to the singing section, will be thinking long and hard about whether I want to renew for next season now

TJ, I was in block C for Grimsby . I am a season ticket holder in the Arthur. When I was your age I used to stand on the Homesdale. Thirty years on I find standing all the match a bit tiresome. I loved being back on the Homesdale where I go at least every season, but I prefer the Arthur. It’s old school. The seats are crap as are the toilets. There is a post blocking my view it’s dark but I love it. There is a great atmosphere and I can strongly recommend the switch. We sit we stand and we sing all match.
The Ultras have got there position now in the middle and with the likes of you moving it frees up more seats for the Palace youth.
Don’t dig your heels in, come and join the hardcore adults in the Arthur. Far more fun. You won’t regret it. Once they move that god awful gantry we will be far louder than the Ultras but together the noise will be awesome.
Everyone on here has forgotten we are all one we are all Palace wherever we are. The boys have now got the Homesdale lower. Brilliant. Just move to a different place.

Is it really proper for those who supposedly moderate the site to call any poster, whatever their views, a pompous p***k.
Moderators should be impartial, rather than be abusive towards individual contributors.

I don't think any moderators have ever claimed to be impartial and it's fine for you to think of them as pr1cks, too.

Far be it from me to act as ME 'Defence lawyer' but whilst of course he could have used more temperate language,he expressed his view about an individual but never actually named that person, accordingly there was no ad-hominem attack on a named poster.

Anyway, this is getting away from the subject matter.

I disagree. Moderators should act impartially and as I said that I ignore any posts from him so I am acting impartially and in any event you don't know to whom I'm referring

You "act impartially".
Yes, and the Earth is flat.

Just to end this debate - yes, the mods all act impartially, because even if one moderator chose to turn a blind eye to an offensive post, the certainty is that another mod would not.

We moderate impartially, but we are also posters here and the two are entirely different things.

And finally.
I presume you are being humorous.
The moderators on this site make John Bercow look impartial.
