I have a few problems with this response. Firstly, and let's make this clear, the HF owe us absolutely nothing. They were formed by other fans over ten years ago when the atmosphere was pants. Now we're considered omg the best in the UK, and are admired even on the continent. So I've never really understood this rhetoric. In my opinion, I believe one of the main reasons is that the club promised all of these things, and seemingly got quite far in negotiations, for the club to f*** up the unveiling massively (more on that later), and essentially hung them out to dry without ever accepting the partial blame for the situation. Also, it's not like they don't attend - I've met a few of them and they just moved from Block B to other places. Finally, I don't think it's their fault for this. I think it's predominantly down to the club for me. This is because: 1) the club f***ed the unveiling up horrendously, where they released (before an important game) that members of the LH weren't allowed to renew their season tickets without any explanation why. Some people were understandably argue, but others used the HF as a scapegoat, where they received a lot of flak, and the club just allowed this to continue. 2) the club's statement was bitchy and, for me, sought to alienate rather than unite (which I felt the HF's latest statement did the opposite). The club's statement made seemingly false claims on the whole situation (explained next). 3) the club's statement said that members of Block E had been consulted, despite the fact that numerous Block E fans had said they had never been asked, which throws the club's statement into disrepute. This is more annoying, because who would believe a HF statement first, before the club's? No it doesn't. It actually says: "News of the proposal leaked out and we received a large number of written and verbal objections from supporters in the area that would have been affected. Many of those supporters writing to us pointed out that they had been in their seats since the stand opened and were strongly opposed to what they saw as them being forced out of their seats."
Will this be five? It's gonna be five! It IS five! |

Exactly, the back of Block E sits down - hardly gonna join in are they. They didn't join in even when they were there - was only really Blocks A, B, C, D and Z that ever really did. We sit right over in J, quite a few there join in (or did) although bit difficult. Would love to move nearer centre (and I am over 60) but not sure finances would allow. Just would like the whole saga to get sorted asap.

What I don’t get is why the HF are trying to blackmail the club ? They are refusing to carry on unless they get their own way like spoilt brats. If they really have the club at heart then they should accept the clubs response , make preparations for when the new stand is ready or safe standing is legalised and carry on their good work from where they have been. It’s very simple !! There are some in HF who think they should be like the Italian ultras - who can actually dictate to the club. First HF demand which seats, what next - telling the club which players to buy, and who actually gets picked for the team? Maybe

Maybe no they wont choose the team!! but as a unit of 100 people they contribute around £50.000 a year in ticket sales x 13 years £650.000 + matchday booze food so lets call it 1 million over 13 years. On top of that they do create a good match day experience, help the atmosphere, help marketing and all round good for the club. So I personally believe they should be listned to and owed preferential treatment. Edited by dannyboy1978 (06 Sep 2018 9.21am)

Which is nonsense, because they announced that LH fans wouldn't be able to renew their STs on the CPFC website without any explanation. The only way I could see this being 'leaked' would be confusing leaked information with rumours on social media.

Financially speaking, the HF are almost an irrelevance. I'm very sorry that they've upped sticks but there's no case for handing out special treatment to them.

Many who were vexed as to why they could not renew in the LH rang the box office, who were instructed not to say anything. When pressed though they did give out basic info such as the HF want to move to the centre blocks to make a singing section. This then went viral on twitter and facebook. Club should have been ready with the actual full proposal before releasing any season tickets, so the lower tier weren't behind other parts of the ground

I think the fact that Parish and CPFC have used them in brochures, videos And online promoting the club, match tickets, season tickets and memberships pretty much since they bought the club disproves your opinion that the HF are a financial (business) irrelevance. Your argument using the remaining 25,000 is true, obviously, but actually bollox if you look at it from a real business angle, as Parish has for 8 years. Edited by Rudi Hedman (06 Sep 2018 9.59am)

Looking at how it would’ve and should’ve been done after the usual complete mishandling and fvck up we’re accustomed to as Palace fans the club have played their usual part in messing this up royally. They always do. They can’t even do the away tickets properly. Unless it’s tarting up a lounge and charging people a lot for refreshments whilst providing a p1ss poor service and products behind the terraces, they can’t do much well behind the scenes.

This whole issue is typical Palace. It seems whenever anything positive happens at the club somehow it all ends up imploding. I hope that a resolution can be found because it's just not the same without the HF.

Totally meaningless as no address required so who knows how many fans of Brighton, Watford or any other fans of other clubs that dislike Palace.
