Apology accepted. Good on you, mate. Boz has also apologised to me in a PM, and I have apologised to him for the tone of my reaction. Apologies all round, then, and all is well! Hello YT. i thought to myself, my ears are burning now i no why mate its all good. What a brilliant result today huge 3 points and much more to come. But many of you have probably noticed, look what's achievable without Benteke it speaks volume about the rest of the squad fighting 100% for each other. Look at Wilf today and tomo doing the business, roy did bring Benteke on but he never changed the way we were playing or anything positive. Brought nothing to the table, and it's carried on to the end of the campaign. Hopefully roy keeps it like that for me.

Great to see wilf running over to benteke an the bench and celebrating his goal, benteke looked well happy for wilf, shows its a solid team unit, not a night to keep slagging any player i think!

Hi Boz. Yes it’s a good day to be a Palace fan. CB does seem to be ‘shot’ doesn’t he? I find it sad TBH, considering his history and the amount he cost the club.

From the start when Benteke got the only 2 goals of probably the worst season he's ever going to have, ive been saying to myself " i hope you prove me wrong, please prove me wrong " but it's not changed has it. It's a damn shame but us fan's need to see goals from him, that's my point in all this debate about him he's attracted criticism all the way through this season and i no " Croydon Proud " love's him, bless him, but he's just not done it for the club and us fan's. It's just so frustrating to see him miss chance after chance again and again, and im sorry but look what happens when he doesn't play we can win without him, many Hol'ers will be wanting to give me a clip, but again he's not going to change. I've just watched highlights on MOTD, and i saw what Croydon Proud said he saw when Wilf got his second goal he did go to Benteke to celebrate, i just wish it was the other way round when Wilf were out injured it should have been him who supposed to get the goals to win the matches we lost. It would have been alot different points wise and league position rather than being where we are fighting for survival in the PL.

We've scored 5 without him, which says everything.

When benteke came on, all we seemed to do is give the ball away. Hennessey boots the ball up benteke who doesn't win the header and brighton were on the attack again.

Cabeye was subbed for Tekkers yesterday and looked mightily pissed off, not sure if it was because he was taken off or that he was replaced by him, and who wouldn’t be?! We then became more defensive, what did he do in the odd 25 minutes he was on....

He's done, I would be shocked if he is still here next season. I had a look at brightons forum and some of there posters were saying what a pity Benteke didn't start. Nobody is scared of him, or envious of us having him, he gets trashed by every set of fans and most pundits. Only a select few on this thread can't see how s*** he is.

We then became more defensive, what did he do in the odd 25 minutes he was on.... Well, he wasn't really, Roy just mixed the two substitutions up. Cabaye was replaced with Riedewald, who in fact came on when Loftus-Cheek went off; and Benteke replaced Loftus-Cheek, who came off when Riedewald went on. Read as Benteke for Loftus-Cheek and Riedewald for Cabaye they make more sense. Presumably the rationale was to confuse weed. However it's correct to say that having come on Benteke was f***ing s***e. I think that's the end of his season. If he wasn't up for it at home against weed, he won't be up for it any other time. Whether he gets moved on or Hodgson (or someone) tries to "reboot" him in the close season remains to be seen. I do wonder if we have the capacity to replace another striker in the coming window as well as all the other business we have to get done, given how frankly abysmal our transfer business was last time round. OTOH if he's going to play like this next season he can f*** off.

Benteke walked when the seaweed had the ball and didn't mark anybody. His defensive credentials are poor. We were a 10 man team after he came on.
