In other news and observations, the roof between the new main stand and Holmesdale does not link up and cannot cover the planned seating in that corner. I doubt it'll be where season ticket holders would choose to sit but if it's cheaper some may do. I've never liked the Holmesdale roof. God knows why Noades stuck that thing on when it's pretty obvious it cannot be continued around the stadium with new stands or linked to current ones. Probably cos it was cheaper and he was hoping to let go of the club when it actually was a yo-yo club. the Holmesdale roof design is supposedly shaped to maximise the amount of sunlight that gets onto the pitch. This was meant to prevent that area of the pitch remaining frozen when the rest of the pitch was playable, although in the early days we still suffered a few postponements due to this. Not an issue now as we have under soil heating
