So if the British Government had adopted Israeli tactics for Northern Ireland, that would be acceptable ? The issue is force, whether military or para-military, and the need to negotiate in order to stop this slaughter of civilians. For some reason the current world seems accepting of slaughter under a religious doctrine, whether it be Israel or IS. And don't forget. The Jews killed JC.
Northern Ireland isn't Gaza........If rocket fire was continually coming over from a section of Northern Ireland.....I would have considered it....Still would have rejected the idea. Targeted assassinations of the IRA was the way.....Something we never did enough of because our Parliament only acts once London is bombed.....And then, 'acting' means 'surrendering'. Good old Hamas. Rejecting an extended truce which will cease the hostilities and deaths: When will the Palestinian people wise up and get rid of these arseholes who care not a jot for their own people and only of sustaining their own power?
Just like the Afghans and the Taliban, Hamas are using the Palestinans as a human shield to increase sympathy for their aims and it is working on the bleeding heart liberals who cannot or will not see what they are doing.
Edited by nickgusset (17 Aug 2014 5.43pm) There needs to be a rejection of Hamas by the Palestinian people. Hamas are the biggest blockers towards any semblance of peace. They don't want peace. It will erode their power base.

And the more Israel bomb Gaza, the more people turn to Hamas... Vicious circle innit. Nick......Am I right in observing that the IDF have left the streets of Gaza? Errr....Do you remember what you and Kermit's typed about Gaza's future oil industry and that being a motivation for the IDF taking Gaza over?

Nothing to do with Hamas' charter pledging them to the destruction of Israel. Nothing to do with Hamas saying they will support a 'truce [sic]' but not a permanent peace with Israel. Nothing to so with Hamas actively wanting Jews to be out of the region or 'peaceably [sic]' living under Hamas control.

Oil and gas exploration and drilling has nigh on nothing to do with the recent troubles in Gaza. Edited by matt_himself (17 Aug 2014 6.52pm)

Good old Hamas. Rejecting an extended truce which will cease the hostilities and deaths: When will the Palestinian people wise up and get rid of these arseholes who care not a jot for their own people and only of sustaining their own power? Probably because Hamas provide 80% of the welfare, education, food and security in the Palestine Authority. Before Hamas it was Fatah, and before that The PLO.

Security equating to 'encouraging [sic]' Palestinians to face Israeli shells with their bare chests whilst being placed at hospitals, schools and other such buildings where, coincidentally, a s*** load of Hamas rockets are situated? Palestinians need to reject these c***s. They are killing these people. Edited by matt_himself (17 Aug 2014 7.33pm)
