Definitely 3 from the bottom 5 now, the table isn’t lying at the moment, the 5 worst teams and in the worst run of form in the division

I'd be very worried if I were a Leeds supporter. They did create a few chances but you could have driven a Cadillac through their defence it was so wide open and their confidence looked shot. Forest just look like they need a bit of luck...their fixtures suggest they might not get it. Everton may just limp home. Leicester might take some heart from their efforts against City, but their next three games will likely decide their fate.

I think it demonstrates just how fragile things such as confidence, momentum, cohesion and mentality are at this level. Under Bielsa, Leeds had an identity, a way of playing that whilst having it's flaws saw them stay in the league successfully and remain competitive in games. They now look a bit lost as a team, no too dissimilar from how we were looking under PV. Appointing Brad Bobley, inevitably sacking him only to bring in Javi Gracia who's only PL experience was with the circus that is Watford, looks to have left them disjointed and without that coherent identity necessary. It's a bad time to have an identity crisis, lose any momentum and concede 11 goals in two home games. Could well be their decline into the championship.
Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!! |

Another good weekend for the red and blue. Apart from us winning. Leeds got another shafting. All lost. West ham got a surprise point but I don't think any of us thought they were serious relegation candidates. I have 5 teams finishing on less than 36 points so effectively we are already safe. But I won't be happy until the fat bird sings. Its now perm any 3 from 5. In the next 3 sets of games there are some crucial games. Everton now have to get something at SP. Then midweek Leeds face leicester. A win for either would be a lifeline. A loss and that team would be hanging by a thread. Then on Mon 1 May Leicester play leeds. These two games could determine who goes down. Leeds and Leicester play each other twice?

Regarding the match against Everton on Saturday: "I'll tell you, honestly, I will love it if we beat them, love it!" (With thanks to Keggsy Keegan)

(With thanks to Keggsy Keegan) I've reservedly put in for a week's annual leave at work following the Everton game as in the circumstance we do win, I will require that time to eventually stop laughing, bask in the satisfaction of it and then return to the real world.
