Totally agree. The art of being a good manager is taking a group of individuals and turning them into a team. I would say we are under performing as a team and that is the manager’s responsibility, no-one else’s. Some will argue you can only work with what you have which is of course true, however Roy’s selections of the same players week in week out regardless of performance, tells me he has only one plan and that is to force players into his model of play rather than adapt the play to suit the squad he has. This is also why he ignores youth, because he will not rely on them to adhere to his strict instructions. His management style didn’t work with England once the pressure was on, it didn’t work in Italy, nor at Liverpool and it’s stopped working with us. Totally Agree..!!

At half time yesterday Ray Lewington had to give the players a rollicking and nearly gave himself a heart attack, according to Roy. I think this tells us a lot of where we are at the moment, the players have little motivation, yeah I know even though they are on 40k a week upwards all of them. We really need to blood 2 to 3 youngsters now like all the other clubs are doing. Look at Harvey Barnes for Leicester yesterday he is superb, he is one of a few that have come through the ranks at Leicester. I like Roy but we need to change for next season to stay in the Premiership... I mentioned this yesterday and questioned where Roy was in all this, but got told I know nothing about football - this is the coaches job..!! Can you imagine Alex Ferguson after a first half performance like yesterdays leaving it to Queiroz, McLaren, Knox etc.. to get his point over - no..!! Having first hand experience of Semi-Pro football, it was the Manager that gave you the "kick up the A@s" when things weren't going well if anything the coach was the pacifier. It all just seemed a little odd to me and pointed towards that Roy for whatever reason is unable to get his point across and motivate the players. I have said before on here IMO Roy has lost the dressing room and the players are not playing for him - yesterday and his curious after match comments just reaffirm that for me. But as I have said that is my experience and opinion and others are welcome to their own and their own interpretation. COYP

At the 'Ripe' age of 73, Roy Hodgson works tirelessly for the club in all weathers. He has been in management for some 44 years, managing both internationally and some big clubs, with often not much time between jobs and one does not have such a CV if one does not know one's 'Onions'. He is very much respected globally.

As you said in your reply "has been" but we are talking in the "here and now" and that IMO is the whole crux of the issue..!! He is not doing it now and it is not working now..!! Hence Roy needs to go and go now and we need to appoint a new, younger and hungrier Manager with new and fresh ideas to galvanise and get the most out of the squad and move on. Yes he's been good but as we all know all good things must come to an end and now is that time for Roy. COYP

They will see that we are not in the relegation zone and points wise there is some daylight between what we have acquired and what the others in the relegation positions have accrued.

This is of course the deciding factor, for all the rubbish these so called fans go on about Mr Hodgson is on target for safety ...again, some fans have absolutely no clue whatsoever lol Until we can bring someone in of the right age and experience and to also be provided with the required funds to bring in players of the Eze ilk we should continue with the safe hands of Mr Hodgson. So where would you play all these brilliant players we have that Mr Hodgson has no clue or understanding about and what formation would you give this fabulous squad to play with? ..

So that is the limit of your expectations/aspirations is it - survival..!! Beyond that we/Roy is on a downward curve 2020 stats; Recent performances suggest Roy seems incapable of arresting that slide and if it is not arrested now, irrespective of our current perceived position of comfort I fear big trouble ahead and the potential of relegation come May looms large. Football is a results driven business, there is no room for sentiment - harsh I know but true. COYP

Nobody said he was unable to manage again but Bournemouth went down because they couldn’t stop shipping goals despite having spent heavily. He looked almost clueless in the run in. His “style” would be unlikely to suit our ageing group IMO and they were absolute rubbish in the two games against us last season. Just trying to demonstrate that any change represents a risk as West Brom found when they sacked Pulis and appointed Pardew. He also had problems at the other end, what happened to Gary Monk?
