It is a pity he was not in goal today a big pity! Would have made no difference at all. We lost due to the Manager playing the wrong system. He may change , he may not, but we lost because the players did not have any idea how to play his system effectively to premier league standard.

Yes but he might of come out and stamped his authority and compromised their attack. Something that Henessey just doesn't do. He hides away on the goal line line a rabbit in the headlights. Of course he would. Only you and Susmilk could possibly try and put any blame for todays shambles on the keeper. It was down to the formation decided on by the Manager.

No goals were his thought and think it's highly unlikely that de Boer will change it.

The times he did roll the ball out to one of the back three it went from one to the other, to the other, to Puncheon, then back to the back 3 and back to Hennessey. We only looked dangerous when he, or one of the defenders punted it downfield. No wonder he was confused. I was as well.

After another real-time sloth like performance on Saturday time for a change. He's incapable of anything above a routine save unless you watch the game through beer goggles. Jules form was better than anything McCarthy, Mandanda or Hennessey have shown since Pardew froze him out. Time for him to get a another chance IMO irrespective of his age.

Do you wear Speroni pyjamas? He's finished Speroni has been overlooked by the last 3 manager. Move on.

No - I think it's very tough for a thirty eight year old to come back after two years cast out but little to lose. Hennessey has the slowest reactions and is the slowest moving of any GK I've seen in a Palace shirt. Yet another below average performance on Saturday. If anybody needs to be looking at their pyjamas it's you. Carry on with your silly remarks couldn't give a toss. If we get a decent GK then I'll move on. Until then do one.

It funny that none of the goals were his fault, yet you use him as a scapegoat. It proves that with a decent defender behind him. Hennessey has the confidence behind him to be adequate at this level. There was worse performers that Hennessy on Saturday but fans like you blame every goal on him. Get a grip and support your own players. Edited by CPFC/SCCC (17 Aug 2017 7.27am)

Look at some of the abuse this man receives it's unacceptable. Supposedly the best fans in the world, are we heck. This makes me embarrassed to be a Palace fan. Last week fans was abusing Lokilo after schalke. Fans need to get a grip. Edited by CPFC/SCCC (17 Aug 2017 7.25am) Attachment: IMG_0321.JPG (813.44Kb)

This is a fans forum on which opinions are expressed - just like yours that Speroni is "finished". A bit naughty to make a comparison with abuse he gets on Twitter which is a different matter altogether. Also you've no idea how I behave at games suffice to say I don't abuse Hennessey or any of the players. But he ain't good enough and another very weak performance Saturday to go with many others over last eighteen months. There was a study in the Telegraph a few weeks back with GK stats which somebody posted elsewhere. It was quite scientific based on goals conceded against difficulty of the shot, distance, angle etc. Not only were ours the worst for 2016-17, they were almost twice as bad as Man City's who were second worst. A different GK on Saturday wouldn't have changed the result but yet another weak below ave effort and unless the ball is hit straight at him it usually ends up in the net.
