I appreciate your mindset on this matter and I remain cautiously optimistic, however for us to slip through that dastardly relegation trapdoor we would need to collapse akin to 'Humpty Dumpty' and other teams would need to show produce results which would shock all and sundry.

A total of 4 pts from our remaining fixtures would ensure our survival and it is well within our capabilities to reach that 40 point total.

To be honest I think we are safe already on 36 points. But until I see that mathematical moment I keep my powder dry.

Just to put our club into context

If and it’s a big if especially West Ham but….
If West Ham
Southampton
Everton

All got relegated , we would be the longest serving club in premier league outside top 6………….

Insane

My worst nightmare Palace relegated on the last day.

Kouyate 89th minute awarded by VAR despite coming off his arm and a yard offside.

Roy has a heart attack and dies on the pitch.

The Holmesdale riots thousands are crushed.

On the way home I witness multiple stabbings on the streets, possibly related.

After a month in a psychiatric ward I realise that the championship is not the end of life.

Remember this is Palace and its never over until its over.

paddy power and bet fair now offer 500/1 us being relegated and chelsea are 375/1 so that about sums up our chances of relegation , the bookies think there is more chance of Chelsea going down. We really should move this to Football talk and open up a blog about top 10 finish

Let’s do it

On reflection I earnestly predict all the above.

You need a drink. Or many. All this would pale into insignificance should the weed get into the Champions League……

Can a mod kindly merge the "top 10 finish" thread with the "relegation" one? Should afford some entertainment.

Another good weekend for the red and blue. Apart from us winning.

Leeds got another shafting.
Forest
Everton
Leicester
Southampton

All lost.

West ham got a surprise point but I don't think any of us thought they were serious relegation candidates.

I have 5 teams finishing on less than 36 points so effectively we are already safe. But I won't be happy until the fat bird sings.

Its now perm any 3 from 5.

In the next 3 sets of games there are some crucial games. Everton now have to get something at SP. Then midweek Leeds face leicester. A win for either would be a lifeline. A loss and that team would be hanging by a thread.

Then on Mon 1 May Leicester play Everton.

These two games could determine who goes down.
