Then you will be as well informed as when you read The Daily Mail without checking its content. Patricia Hannah-Wood lost by 6 votes and was wrongly declared the winner. Legally she cannot ‘stand aside’. The result can only now be overturned by a Court. In addition the result was already fatally flawed due to Council staff registering people in the wrong Ward. Do you really not understand how The Daily Mail works, pulling your strings to energise you about The Mail’s own biases? It hates Hannah-Wood who is trans Yes because the Leftist papers are completely unbiased. Do you ever get your head out of your garden?

It hates Hannah-Wood who is trans She can resign her seat instead of applying for positions on the council. The correct candidate could then take their seat whilst the case went to court and I sure the court would accept that. It is her behaviour that is not acceptable not the mistake which I believe was an honest one. And there is no need to be so rude Mapletree I am not aware that I have ever been rude to you.

Their virtual signalling is only done when it doesn't actually cost them much personally......their ethics are for how they want others to perceive them not actual principles they actually live by. They could all change their name to Gary Lineker at this point. Edited by Stirlingsays (14 May 2023 6.01pm)

So if she resigned her seat, pray tell what would happen? Also, as she may well have won were it not for the other irregularities, does it actually make sense to resign? And I was not being rude to you, simply saying don't trust the Daily Mail and enjoying providing an enlightening way of looking at what else you could do instead of wasting time on that rag.

There would have to be another election. The local parties could have agreed to allow the Tory candidate to take his place whilst the matter was investigated by the Electoral Commission or a judge or simply the seat could have been vacant until a by election. The story by the way was pretty much a copy and past by the Mail from a local newspaper. And yes you were unnecessarily rude. This woman is now seating on 2 councils which doesn't seem right to me. "Ms Hannah-Wood was also elected to the Central ward of Colne Town Council at the same vote, meaning she currently sits on two town councils in Pendle." I posted this story because on the same day the Labour Party is briefing the media about broadening and deepening democracy in this country by extending the franchise so i thought it newsworthy.

I have read at least one local paper report on this issue and the Mail was nothing like it. Due to its 'opinion' elements. It truly is an awful medium, designed to foment discontent and mistrust in order to energise and anger its readers. Avoid growing a huge, throbbing vein on your forehead and read something else. I am only concerned for your own wellbeing.

As I was saying years ago, the stuff I had to learn the hard way growing up is coming for the middle classes and liberals. They are going to get a wake up call and learn that they aren't insulated from the less tasteful realities of the demographics that they were taught to support.....even if they move it's still coming for them. Meanwhile the mayor of this city is calling the Met racist.....la la land. [Tweet Link]
