100% correct and I really don't get the fact that people feel oppressed here. They queue up to get into the country and rightly so, ours is a country of massive opportunity. You have to take the chance and work at it. There are so many instances of self made millionaires from poor backgrounds here, you have to put the effort in though, but some it appears just want it handed to them. Any percentage numbers of self made millionaires from poor backgrounds to back up the "so many" ? Love to see the numbers, and set against the millionaires from Eton, would be a great comparison, black and white, just curious.

Not sure why you think this is the Britain I wanted, thought my views were well documented on here! I wasn't actually referring to you personally.

Well I’m one and basically if you own a decent sized house in London you are probably a millionaire too. There are plenty about. I’m quite happy with that and I don’t understand your comparison with Eton boys as they were millionaires before they went to school otherwise they probably wouldn’t be there.

Boris Johnson specifically instructed those not to gather in masses due to the health risks, yet this evening we have seen left-wing protestors taking to the streets of London, totally ignoring the words of the PM. These people merely stick two fingers in an upward direction and they are allowed to continue unchecked. I appreciate that peaceful protest is part of our democracy but in the midst of such a crisis, ALL protests should be halted in their tracks by the authorities taking a very firm hand when necessary. Some darned chance! We have recently heard about 'Bubbles' where single households are permitted to engage with other single households and over recent weeks the easing of restrictions which we are told has to be "Gradual", yet

No, i was responding to your original post, just don"t think that lots of working class people are millionaires, percentage wise, thou take your point that house prices in London have made a lot more and that the Eton boys were wealthy anyway.

The Office of National Statistics say 515,000 millionaires in London although it’s impossible to break that down. My point is more to do with the opportunity that exists rather than the numbers themselves.

Thanks, that"s a lot more than i thought to be fair, as for the opportunity, i think its probably a lot harder to come over from abroad and make it to the millionaire status, unless you are a banker or the ilk, but from a standing start so to speak! But as i said, impressed with the stats you provided!
