Having reading the statements from the club and the HF it seems to me that everybody really wants the same thing. - A great team performance on the pitch enhanced by a great atmosphere. Personally I had not been a huge fan of the HF but I thought their statement last night was generally excellent and certainly changed my perspective a little on the current situation. As I am not part of an organised group I don't get to make a statement but as a long term home and away season ticket holder I feel I do have the right to an opinion / comment. For what my opinions worth I support everything in the HF statement but would comment as follows with 2 points. Firstly I believe atmosphere has deteriorated over the last few seasons due to the Premiership novelty wearing off a bit following the initial excitement of playing at this level and also the shocking home form of the team during the latter Pardew years and a fair bit under Alladyce / FDB. My point being I don't think declining atmosphere is solely down to where the HF sit in the ground. I accept being more central may help revitalise things but so will consistently winning a few games at home. My second point is more of a request to the HF. Be organised, be a credit to the club add / lead the atmosphere etc but please remember there are 23000 other fans in the ground at home or another 1900 at away games. Be organised and be something for the rest of us to be proud of and support but please don't embarrass, threaten or ignore other fans as I have seen first hand on several occasions. I think if inclusion / consideration / recognition of other fans can be improved you will find much wider support. Let hope that the next week or so will see some of these issue resolved and everyone unite behind the team.

I'm sure you would go and work somewhere for the next 10 years with a huge risk of not getting paid a penny. There was little if any risk as he had secured his loan with a debenture over the assets of the club so that if it all went t1ts up he would get his money back from the sale of the ground. He may well have got his initial loans back but he is sitting on an increase in share value that is worth more than most people earn in a lifetime. Before the usual suspects pile in to say that he is worth every penny of his share values I am merely stating facts and not voicing an opinion

You do talk a lot of s*** don’t you, Rudi. It’s the typical ploy of yours to have a go and have a go and have a go again. And when someone lays out their opinions for you in detail and on a plate and you’ve got nothing left to sling, you resort to baseless childishness. Lots of people claimed it in the Arthur at the time because it was happening. I’ve looked back on my old posts and mentioned it and no one seemed to bat an eyelid. Do try to debate like an adult with people who disagree with you for once in your life. Stop being pedantic and attempting to take tiny segments of people’s statement of opinions in an attempt to disregard their broader point. You know exactly what mine is, if you disagree with it fine, but do it like a functioning adult instead of a 4 year old. Edited by Mstrobez (05 Sep 2018 6.03pm) That's because you sit there, I'm in the arthur and alot of sound from the holmesdale gets lost but you can tell they're far louder in the holmesdale and it's or was non stop singing.

definitely agree when we first came up that the loudest AW was louder than the loudest Holmesdale. but I suspect far superior acoustics were the cause. when the AW is loud, and you're in it, it's far louder than the Holmesdale and joining in feels very easy. It's just rarely that loud any more.
If you want to live in a world full of kindness, respect and love, try to show these qualities. |

Parish didn't have that luxury at that time. It's like someone investing in millwall now and working out his potential profit based on the club being in the prem, the return would be unreal the chance are very slim

You can watch the game sat at home, most people go to support the club and for the match day experience, if you go just to watch football and sit in the holmesdale lower then you're an idiot cause you can hardly see what's going on up the other end anyway.

I go to the games to watch my team play football regardless of the atmosphere. The atmosphere is an added bonus but not the reason I attend.
