They have. The claims that Hamas was forcibly using civilians as human shields has been completely debunked. It is the supporters of the Israeli occupation who are playing semantics.
How about this then, Hamas encourage civilians to use themselves as human shields. Hence showing that Hamas are willing to use civilian deaths as a method of making Israeli attacks look worse. You say Israel deliberately kill children all the time yet here is proof Hamas couldn't give a monkeys and for you.....nothing.....You are so one eyed. Edited by Stirlingsays (13 Aug 2014 6.43pm)

"Keep pushing your agenda and refusing to accept what I am saying through your prejudice. Everyone who criticises Hamas is of course asking for them to be submissive, aren't they? A credible government is one who gives concessions in negotiations. It is one who puts its people first, not its own power. Hamas is bad for Palestine and the Palestinian people. Israel has been close to a two state solution. Look at Camp David talks. Also, did Israel steal land from the Palestinians or was the West Bank previously Jordanian territory lost in the 1967 war? I would argue that Israel has not stolen the West Bank from Palestinians but is in non compliance of a UN resolution. Although, I am sure that is wrong in your eyes, somehow."
The fact is that the Golan Heights, the West Bank, East Jerusalem and Gaza are internationally recognised as illegally occupied by Israel (even acknowldeged by the US) seems to have passed you by!

I said that Israel hadn't 'stolen' land from Palestinians. The West Bank and Golan heights were part of Jordan and Syria prior to 1967. I said that Israel was in non-compliance of a UN resolution with regards to the West Bank. Furthermore, Israel claims that under UN resolution 242, it has a legitimate claim to the Golan heights. Remember Syria rejected the return of the Golan Heights in return for a peace treaty. Israel claims that under the terms of resolution 242, this means that retaining it provides security for the country from an attack by Syria. Is the above true or Zionist propaganda? I have prepared one of my own time capsules. I have placed some rather large samples of dynamite, gunpowder and nitroglycerin. My time capsule is set to go off in the year 3000. It will show them what we are really like. |

Are you seriously suggesting Israel is not occupying Palestinian land? Really??

Occupation was not mentioned once. And good to see you are dodging this by trying to insult me. Typical Lefty Mafia tactics when cornered.

If ever you find the opinions of certain left wing posters makes you more nauseated than the shelling of children and other civilians then it really is time to sit down, have a nice cup of tea and try to remember exactly where and when it was you lost your decency and sanity.

What has the above got to do with the debate we were having on whether the land was 'stolen' from Palestinians or was acquired by Israel through wars with Jordan, Syria, etc? Where did I say that I was 'nauseated' more by lefty views than by the deaths of children? It is just an attempt at cheap point scoring and part of your campaign to label me as worse a human than Hitler, Stalin and Pol Pot combined because I disagree and challenge your cut and paste 'ideology'.

According to the UN it's the IDF who use Palestinian children as human shields Parts of the UN say that, others don't.

The land that the UN gave to the Jews to create Israel in 47 was not based upon self determination and so was automatically unjust. Plus it was far too big, thirty percent of the population were given fifty five percent of the land ......Though even if it had been thirty percent the Arab countries would still have refused the concept, tried to destroy it, and probably would still have lost.

Hamas and PFLP (Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine) have a chequered history of terrorism throughout the world, ie suicide bombings, hijacking airplanes, kidnapping etc. They do not listen to reason and it is they that continually stoke the flames of this situation by firing their rockets and breaking any truce. You cannot blame Israel for not wanting to lift the blockade which would mean Hamas getting their hands on bigger more accurate weapons. The land the Palestinians are fighting over is basically a pile of rubble. They are staying there just to make a point. I have sympathy for the Israelis because of the treatment of Jews by the Nazis throughout the 30's and WWII and their plucky nature to face down the aggression of the Arab states that surround them, they are the underdogs.
