Great, if enough people do that then it should be just about enough to result in a Labour SNP coalition. So in effect people will vote UKIP because they want out of the EU but that will let in Labour SNP who will get us back in the EU when overriding reason was because of sovereignty and democracy That's democracy!!

Not sure why publishing this has been such a problem, the AG's legal opinion is surely in the public interest.

For avoidance of doubt the issue is about the 'Legal advice' and as the distinguished QC had advocated that having studied the details he believes it is against the national interest. He is best suited to understanding the complexities of the legal advice rather than the MPs ! At the end of the day this is all about opposition parties trying to stir up trouble in their own political interests rather than the national interest and they spout about 'national interest' when it comes to the legal advice ! Let's face it Labour would have opposed ANY deal that the Government agreed wholly for their own political ends with NO regrad whatsover for the national interest.
Edited by Willo (03 Dec 2018 7.29pm) In the light of what has actually transpired, namely the contempt of parliament by the government, would you like to re-appraise your post? That distinguished QC, who decides what the national interest is, seems somewhat compromised...….

I suppose the only way to get the people on side with Cuts to services, austerity, and benefit cuts is to stoke the mob into blaming other sections of society, usually the most vulnerable, the benefit claimant, the immigrant, they're picking your pocket. No one ever talks about the big entreprenuers asset stripping companies, offshore tax haven accounts, non-doms using tax loopholes, big corporates companies paying virtually no corporation tax, money spent on Trident etc etc. You never see that on the front of the Sun

That’s a different topic anyway. That’s very different from giving money, property and services to large (huge) numbers ecomic migrants at the expense of pensioners, the sick or disabled/vulnerable, low earners etc that have paid into our tax system all or most of their lives and contributed to building this country. That’s notwithstanding our own scroungers which is also another subject.

Yes, because a nuclear deterrent is a waste of money. #Leftworld If you'd be willing to use it then it wasn't much of a deterrent was it?

No nuclear bomb has been detonated against an enemy since 1945, despite many conflicts and many hundrends of thousands of devices being stockpiled. Being willing to use it in an extremely serious scenario is the actual deterrent.....that's the whole point of mutually assured destruction. If you aren't willing to use it then it isn't much of a deterrent. Edited by Stirlingsays (05 Dec 2018 11.59pm)

No I feel my overriding point is very relevant and your's is misguided It's the distribution of wealth that is the creation of these problems, lack of affordable housing, cost of living, cost of utilities and services because we sold them off like our energy companies and railways, all culminating in the money the people generating, our social wealth, very little is coming back. As highlighted before it has led to a state of poverty people, rising homlessness, use of foodbanks and the average earner barely able to make ends meet. There is plenty of wealth to meet the needs of the people but the government tell you there's none, no magic money tree, then cut servies, welfare reforms so that wealth taken from the bottom and goes to the top. But you blame others, the immigrant, the "scrounger", as long as we do that the worse it will get as we regress further into the dickensian abyss we are heading
