Glad to hear it.

I’d be amazed if Nuno chooses us over Everton - Dyche the clear favourite if that’s the case. Absolute no brainer. Ismael seems like a massive gamble. Complete wildcard

Having read 111 pages and carefully dissected all the opinions (ok,maybe not) I have come to the conclusion that the person that I wanted the least has now become my choice and its Cooper.
Reason 1. Hopefully good at bringing youth players through.
Reason 2. A good age for the above project.
Reason 3. Just a gut feeling that he won't tolerate some of the sloppy performances that we have grown accustomed to.

Agreed. It's a no from me!

Given our 9 years in the Premiership I think Cooper would be an underwhelming and disappointing appointment, he maybe good at bringing in youth but the Premiership is a lot different than Championship football hence the reason why so many clubs go down after one season in the top flight.

I think if his name was Rafael Di Sanchez, lots would be far more excited. Even his name is boring. But doesn't necessarily mean he will be.

It’s not a case of what his name sounds like, Cooper has never even played first team football, as I stated in an earlier post Brian Flynn signed him, but told him he would better going into coaching. Cooper has the least experience even Valerien Ismael has encountered Champions league football with LASK. be it only one game. Cooper IMO needs more experience as a manager he is a two season wonder if you want to call him that.

Fair enough. Certainly not doubting any of that. Merely pointing out that it's easy to be wooed by an exotic name (Campana/Camarasa anyone?) and uninspired by a more familiar or boring one. Cooper's certainly not my first choice either, by the way.

Why would Nuno spend a reported three days talking over the Palace job unless he was interested, it’ doesn’t make sense nor would it be professional and to be honest why would he or his agent do that wasting everybody’s time and effort.
I would also had thought that the first aspect of any talks with any new manager who every he is would be investment in players and transfer funds. I really cannot see Steve Parish holding talks without some sort of funds for players. I my opinion I believe the board were never going to give Hodgson a new contract, as it was stated the club wanted a new direction on style of play. We were all moaning about the last transfer window and the lack of transfer dealings could it be that fund have been held back or in place for the new manager knowing that Hodgson’s contract was not going to be renewed.

I doubt Nuno spent 3 days in talks with Parish. I expect we have spoken with him, but for 3 days. It seems another hack embelishing a story.

I doubt whether Nuno is the number one target for Everton with Rafa Benitez not only out of work but still living on Merseyside

They’re not talking, SP and Dougie have got him naked, tied to a chair in a dark room with no food or water and they’re not letting him go till he says yes

Nor did Lawrie McMenemy the former Southampton manager

Enjoying getting up later and not having someone who knows better than me (apart from the missus of course).
