The most serious consequence of brexit has to be leaving the single market. And leave maintained up to and including the referendum, that the UK would not leave the single market.
That’s another question. Like voters believing election promises.

I don't remember that. What I do remember is various Brexit politicians stating that the model post leave could be: - Canada Plus Some of these would have given us the option of remaining in the single market and initially Theresa may was keen on that idea. However Brexit was about taking back control so the caveat in all of these different flavours was that the EU would not control UK relations with the rest of the world. The EU made it clear that we could only remain in the single market if we agreed to all of there rules for trading with the EU but that these rules would also apply to our trading with the rest of the world. In other words we would be a member of the EU bound by their rules and regulations but with no voting rights. That was never going to fly with any UK politician.

France now getting their fishing licences the UK climbs down from its ridiculous position. We may wonder why any fuss was made at all as the brexit agreement said they could carry on as before. Another stupid brexit fuss about nothing.

Britain is due to face more disruption to its trade with the European Union when it introduces new post-Brexit customs checks on Jan. 1, the head of the International Monetary Fund, Kristalina Georgieva, said on Tuesday. "Trade with the EU has dropped significantly and we expect there will be more impact ahead as the custom checks are going to be introduced in UK in the beginning of next year," Georgieva told reporters after the IMF published an annual review of Britain's economy. Another blow to the sweep it under the carpet, don't bother us with details, brexit generation.

These would be the same checks that the EU has insisted on for UK exporting to Ireland/EU. Until now the government has allowed the EU to continue to export to us without them. However if the EU insist on being intransigent "rubber glue back at you" after all these are the rules the EU agreed to.

Lord Frost, brexit chief negotiator, or "Frosty", has chucked the towel in, he couldn"t be associated with it and bungle apparently.

But not over Brexit, supposedly. More to do with Covid. Let's see what comes out. Either way, it's clear that those behind this current attempt to get rid of Johnson are now upping the tempo. This cannot just be coincidental.

Yeah, I made the brexit bit up, but it could be the beginning of the end for bungle!

It is also about Sunak and his ruinous economic policies. The economy will require stimulus, not tax breaks for wealthy property owners, he is killing demand including Frost's brexit dream. A civil servant made a lord what a daft place we are in. What a pain the whole thing is.

Corrupt as they come, oh well, hardship for the future, but the people voted for it, seem to like it, shows the bulldog spirit I think, so lets suck it up!
