You had no idea and now back peddling like usual. The Zuma point just reinforces, my point about Britain's economy, just remember to pay you taxes. I read the news and I don't lie, there's nothing to back peddle on. I even said in my first reply to it that you'd left something out. Phrasing it as a question to allow you to post what I already knew you meant, which you chose not to take up. No idea what your Zuma point is quite frankly. In power as oppose to going on trial doesn't seem to be "doing better".

How constructive of you. Simply because you have nothing to counter with. Quite t***ish, really.

That guy. Jamie was great in some ways but choosing that hill to die on was not a good exit. Edited by Stirlingsays (18 Mar 2018 12.09am)

People who demean me often have their posts deleted or told to alter them rather than "take" a yellow. Personally, I don't mind moderation if there was an element of equality, but for some reason...... However, I don't recollect your "drunk" missive, probably censored before I saw it, I do acknowledge your inability to back down; other examples for spring to mind would include the existence of a station at Coulsdon North in the past rathe than Smitham.

No you probably didn't as it seemed to disappear very swiftly, even though it wasn't offensive. A bit petulant perhaps but that's what I thought you were being with the edited post, rather than replying and subsequently putting what you did about name calling when I said I thought it was quite t***tish. I'd rather it stood and took a yellow if I wanted to offend someone but that wasn't the case here. Anyway never mind, you usually post in a decent manner which was why I persued it. Other posters that almost always reply with nonsense I'd have just ignored them. You were right about Coulsdon North. I'd never known about it hence me being confused about, and questioning, whether you meant Smitham, now Coulsdon Town, which you didn't.

The problem is that the post contravened the sticky at the top of this forum where it stated :- Quote This is a warning. Personal attacks, sniping, bullying, or otherwise attacking individuals, by name or implication, has begun to undermine General Talk.
Please stick to the subject, or derailed subject - but avoid directly or indirectly attacking individual users. If you are unsure, do not refer to the individual at all, and stick to the subject. It has been my preferred method of keeping the forum friendly and tidy to quietly delete any posts that are likely to lead to tit for tat personal arguments but I've now been asked to either edit any offensive posts (which would also have annoyed you) or to hand out cards instead so when everyone starts complaining about the new hard line please don't blame me

Jamie's sticky went over the top and he over moderated with frequent threats within threads.....it wasn't ideal. I say this in recognition of the reality that Jamie was a great poster who....regardless of his mixture of communism and nihilism was a loss. Overt moderation on a political board will lead to people not bothering and leads to claims of bias. I could see how some mods would see that as less to bother about but I don't view it positively. I see your point about over long tit for tat exchanges that turn nasty but the point should be made that political boards are the place for arguments. That's the better place for people to express themselves. So there is a balance....Jamie had a point but he over corrected in my view....no crime of course but my view all the same.
