Surely the Attorney General, Cox, is wrong here. It is not up to him to decide what is in the national interest, it is parliament. That is what parliament decided, that the government must publish the full brexit advice. Proceedings for contempt here inevitable? For avoidance of doubt the issue is about the 'Legal advice' and as the distinguished QC had advocated that having studied the details he believes it is against the national interest. He is best suited to understanding the complexities of the legal advice rather than the MPs ! At the end of the day this is all about opposition parties trying to stir up trouble in their own political interests rather than the national interest and they spout about 'national interest' when it comes to the legal advice ! Let's face it Labour would have opposed ANY deal that the Government agreed wholly for their own political ends with NO regrad whatsover for the national interest.

At the end of the day this is all about Theresa May trying to thwart parliament whilst acting in her own political interest rather than the national interest and she spouts on about 'national interest' when it comes to the legal advice! Let's face it the government would have supported ANY deal that the PM agreed wholly for their own political ends with NO regard whatsoever for the national interest.

With respect I disagree with your view about the intentions of Theresa May.For the record I am a Tory brexiteer who is NOT in favour of the daft deal.

I'm not sure you have the vote unless registered for council tax. Emphasis - not sure. However.the sponging underclass you allude to: do many of them actually vote? You could be right because until you’re registered at the council you don’t get on the electoral register. Being registered for council tax doesn’t mean it’s their money paying it mind you. It found be long term acting incapable to work benefit.

Again obviously a percent of the underclass vote even if it's less than those paying into the system....I should imagine it amounts to many millions of votes. However, for me it's the principle of the compact between the tax payer and their governance.

This would probably also rule out most of the 18-21 year olds at university - the ones that know it all without ever having worked a day of their lives..... *puts on tin helmet*
