I'd do a swap of Olise for Chalobah + Hall on permanents if it really does look like we won't be able to hold on to Olise this summer for whatever reason. We'd obviously end up short out wide and need to make a signing, probably two. I don't think we'd want to lose Zaha, Olise and one of the defensive group in one window so we'd probably just have to fund those replacements ourselves. Puts us in a strong position in January/next summer though. Get Chelsea to chuck in Broja on a loan too? They'll never go for any of it but f*** em. We owe them nothing and it's no worse than paying £90m for Mudryk.

I think everybody needs to assume that we wont see the proper starting 11, until Sept 16th, after the England break, the 5th game of the season.

What I’m hoping is, we’ll scrape the results we might expect in some matches and lose those we’d probably chalk down as a loss in any instance. I’m not pinning hopes on it but I would not be shocked by 2 or 3 extra additions before the window slams shut. Even then I think we’ll be a bit short of a very comfortable starting XI let alone squad but my pants will be slightly drier! COYP

Lets not get ahead of ourselves. Our ambition is to be better than Luton, Sheff Utd and Wolves over 38 games, and that is something I thing the club is clearly confident it can achieve, without spending wads of cash.

Just need to hope we can get something out of an injury hit Sheffield, a depleted Wolves and a Toney'less Brentford.
