Put the HF by the players tunnel, so they can give 5hlt when the results don't go our way.

Give the HF their own away section, so they don't hassle families and pensioners out of their allocated seats.

When the songs 'are wrong' by other fan groups, let the stadium sit in silence.

200 'fans' out of 23,000. fcvk 'em

I was at Selhurst for the midweek match (in the pl55ing rain) against Crewe in 2003-4, which Palace lost. I didn't boo the players, and I didn't leave early. Nor did I give 5hlt to the other 10K palace fans.

I donated money to the HF for displays. I'd like my money back, because my money has been used as leverage to try and secure preferential status for 'the few'.

Well said that man !

It’s only been 2 days. We’ll see.

I had a look at the petition and got as far as:-

Crystal Palace chairman Steve Parish, offered the Homesdale Fanatics (HF), room in block E of to progress their support of the club and displays.

He later went back on this promise.

Did Steve Parish promise them what they are claiming or did he say that he would see what he could do as they are claiming that he made a promise that he later reneged on whilst the official line is that looked at accommodating them but couldn't

One of them is twisting the truth

I sat in both places in that season. And it just was. So you can either deny the experience by saying you needed a laugh or you can listen to someone literally telling you their experience.

Most people want it, including me. But if it was as simple as your attempting to make out, as always, it would already be done.

The back of the Arfur may be louder than the front hit of block B or the HF on their own without the drum but they are definitely not louder than blocks B and C together before adding D as well. If you think that you’re the only person breathing who does.

But now the HF have gone the back of the Arfur can barely be heard so you don’t have to mention how sedate the corner block is now.

The CLUB (not him personally) was losing 2m a year of which Parish was liable for 25% of. Please get facts correct.
Plus They had a maximum ceiling figure they were willing to put in before calling it a day and selling up which they'd be able to do because they had the freehold of the ground to entice any new owner.
As it turned out, we got promoted and all losses were covered. Then the Americans came along and paid handsomely to help shoulder the financial burden. They did very well. And good luck to them.
Lets not over dramatise or exaggerate Parish's personal risks in his role though eh?

Lets also not dramatise or exaggerate the importance of HF, eh?

Because nobody, nobody has ever claimed this, ever, until you have.

I think Rikz is correct in the £5 mil per season figure loss before notable player sales. I remember Parish saying so on HOL radio. Maybe your figures are after some player sales or not all of them or a delay of Zaha’s sale or something but that £5 mil figure was well known at the time and no doubt a big reason for the Bristol car park exchange. Another time when Parish felt the need to intervene in someone’s personal conservatism for the good of cpfc. I’ve heard Freedman was dead against Zaha being sold so again another personal interest v good of the club, before including Zaha wanted to go or us tempting him to stay.

Hopefully back to topic (after a few exchanges probably tbf)

Block E and any other long term supporter will have the pick of 95% of lower tier seats so calm down a bit. Loads of people want this and/our atmosphere to stay and those with good views will still have them. Stop being so precious over a move across of 2 blocks.

what you're missing is that lots of people don't want this either. There will be no like-for-like swap for anyone moving from block E - all the best seats in the other blocks will be taken and groups or friends/families that purposely sit together in block E will not be able to get a similarly decent group of seats in another block. That is the massive point you are missing or just don't care about and don't understand that it will turn some longtime fans off of the club and not bother going any more after being hounded out. You might feel ok about losing a few old fans that don't make any noise, but they've earned their right to sit where they want until they decide not to or until CPFC make a decision on the whole of the lower Holmesdale when the new stand is complete. For the record, I'd love an all singing and (in time) all standing section, but not at the cost of losing old boys and girls that have been going since long before most of the HF were born.

Plenty go to get involved. There’s no atmosphere to get involved with. They’re not a circus act but the driving force for thousands of fans to get involved with. Like it or not, that’s how football atmosphere works now. They’ve proven it.
