It’s all very quiet looks like nothing will happen. We don’t need a left back rumour has it that Tayo’s loan to Coventry has been terminated

I've been saying this for last 3 transfer windows. If we play with inverted windows there is space for the full backs to get forward, particularly if we go behind. We have cover at right back but not at left back in my opinion. I think the idea of chasing AWB is only as a long term solution for when Joel Ward hangs up his boots. Problem is there are a lot of right backs but so many decent left backs around at the moment. Edited by viveasheagle (31 Aug 2022 12.56pm) The danger with inverted windows is they let a draught in and everyone catches a cold.

I think another loan out to a team in league 1 or league 2 maybe better suited for his development at this stage.

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!! |

10th season for us that is a massive record and do we look like a team which will easily be relegated no. A solid mid table team you could say. Ayew does a job and good squad player. We are starting to clean things up before to many old players now we have younger people and even if youngsters are not going into first team it looks like the club is using the model the bigger teams use to make money from them (for us smaller scale) The real area we have been lacking is expanding global this I do not understand and at times the club is still run as a small team (This could be due to SP we have outgrown him but who replaces him) We really need 1-2 other people to take over the Americans share they came into the club and put up what they said even more but it was the wrong deal we needed someone long term to expand Palace brand plus put money in (SP sort of admitted it was the wrong deal but was desperate)

We are 8 goals and 3 assists down on last season in Gallagher, Benteke got 4 goals and 1 assist. Scored 7 goals this season, 4 from Zaha, 2 from set pieces, 1 well worked goal from Mateta, with Zaha influential in that goal too. If he gets injured and we don't bring anyone in, I think we are far from a mid table side, Bournemouth apart, I think this is the strongest the Premier league has been, we don't bring someone in who can score goals to take the burden off Zaha, we may struggle.

Very little in the way of news/updates out there atm.. a little concerning. Pats made it pretty clear he wants more bodies in. Hopefully Dougie and Steve are playing a blinder behind the scenes and all will be revealed tomorrow evening Edited by MonsterMunch (31 Aug 2022 2.39pm)
