I don't think they'll lose any ground either. In a way they carved out their position of being the mainstream remain option, at the cost of actually having a chance to get a sniff of power. Their other huge mistake was trying to turn it into a presidential style election then finding out that people didn't actually like her

SNP candidate forgets which constituency he is fighting for. Typical of political parties they parachute "their man" in and expect the voters to role over. This gentleman previously lost his seat to Jo Swinson that's how useless he is. It's not just the SNP the leader of the Labour party in Leicester has resigned and told the media "it's a fix". "Jim the washing machine salesman" has stepped down so they needed a new candidate. Labour HQ has helpfully made that decision for them by picking a local candidate with strong local ties to Leicester. Well okay he is actually an Islington councillor and close friend of Jezza but I am assured that his heart has always been with the good people of Leicester. It's time the public woke up to the invasion of the drones and started voting for local people who actually know what constituency they are fighting for.

Poll Cards You don't need a poll card to vote nor do you need any ID in this election unless there is a trial going on in your area. Poll cards are to help the staff quickly find you on the electoral register and thus keep the queues down. Just provide your name and address verbally. You may not get a poll card if you have just recently registered to vote as they wont have time to send them out. It is possible that the reason you don't have one is you are not on the electoral register, remember you most register every year this is not a one off thing. If you have moved and not told the council the card will have gone to the old address. If you are still concerned call the council's electoral services department for assistance. A word of advice if you have a problem on the day the odds that you will be able to vote are slim so help them help you and raise the issue now.

Do we register every year? I’m not sure I do but the poll cards always arrive. I think I get post giving the opportunity to change the registration. The last time I did anything on this I used the web address I received in the post.

Talk in the papers today that Boris is avoiding Andrew Neil, I can't say that I blame him I bet Corbyn wished he had. Still for the sake fairness in this election Boris Minor should step up and take his six of the best from the Headmaster. Boris has said many many spicy things as a journalist. Some of them are well known but others less so....but he's said a lot on Islam....much of which many of us would agree with....but that O'Neil could highlight. Doing the O'Neil show would be a 'lose/lose' for Boris. So he's going to have to 'war room' up some responses if he's going on. But he's going to have to deal with it at some point anyway.

Unless of course you live in Southampton where filling in the form appears to be optional.

I don't register every year either, yet My polling card turns up. I thought you only had to register if you moved house/area.
