He'll be a great loss when he moves on, but most players put career before club. The only player for Palace who didn't was Wilf.

As much as I dont want to lose Olise' thats the first article that I have seen on the subject where the writer actually sounds like he knows what he is talking about. Originally posted by lord_kevros
Just posted in The Athletic by David Orstein Chelsea have made contact with Crystal Palace regarding the possibility of signing Michael Olise. The south-west London club asked for permission on Wednesday afternoon to speak to the winger’s representatives with the hope of agreeing personal terms. The Athletic reported on Tuesday that interested parties have been advised to strike a deal with Crystal Palace before attempting to agree terms with Olise’s camp. Bayern Munich and Newcastle United have also contacted Palace, while Manchester United and Manchester City retain a strong interest in the playmaker. The 22-year-old came close to completing a move to Chelsea last summer but he opted to stay at Selhurst Park, signing a new four-year deal. His new contract made him one of Palace’s top earners and contains a new, higher release clause, believed to be in the region of £60m (€70.5m), which Chelsea are prepared to meet.

Of course he might go but Olise does seem very different to most players. If he thinks that being here for another year will benefit him, he'll do that knowing that the interest will still be there next summer. Let's hope that happens. If it is correct that the £60m release clause is for Champions League clubs, that immediately poses issues for Chelsea, United and Newcastle. Him and Musiala in the same team at Bayern would be something.

Wilf went to United at the first opportunity and would probably have left afterwards if he hadn't been offered bigger contracts or Palace had asked too high a fee e.g. Arsenal

I could make contact with Margo Robbie about a threesome but that doesn't mean it's happening. It boils down to whether Olise wants to leave, and depending on that, if his release clauses can be met.

. . . & we are 'interested' in Sancho, because? Who said Palace were interested in Sancho? Someone suggested United should offer £50 AND Sancho. I simply said the wages are out of our reach. You need to read things before jumping quickly to criticize. Makes you look a bit silly.

Yeah but back in the real world I thought it was worth making a note as the title of the thread is 'Olise transfer speculation'. And rather than dozens of posts without any real news I guessed it would be worth reporting. Anyway, if you have the details for Margo Robbie, I will happily trade you for the details I have for Angelna Jolie.

Chelsea are on a budget and think (wrongly) that they can snap up a quality player and appease their fans relatively cheaply. He may go. I'm not naive enough to think he'll definitely stay but I still wont rule it out. Not at all.
