Anderson has been dodgy all season. Their first goal was farcical. Not sure what Glasner was doing with substitutions. Taking off Ayew was weird. Bringing on Edouard is never a good idea. Ultimately very predictable with only one good moment for us. Luton is the game we have to win.
Awey was injured which is why he went off people who watched the game would have seen this. Edouard second top goal scorer after Eze because of todays goal. Many things could say are strange choices but we need to put up with it and not really count the rest of this season it will take times to change to the managers way of football plus we will need other players. Can’t believe how bad we became after Eza goal? Munoz was forever giving the ball away, being beaten and out of position after mad runs? As for Andersen, what was he upto? Mitchell also looked awful after goal and subs Edouard and Franca weakened the team :-( Munoz does a lot of work and it was clear he was tiring without emuch support Ward is too slow to really support and Ayew was the one helping but he went off injured. The manager doesn't really know much about the players you can see that many are out of position. Mateta did work hard but he doesn't have the mobility to play high press closing down. He are lacking pace in center this is a big problem. Mitchell doesn't look up to the pace to play this role hes not that quick and at times looks like he doesn't know how to read the game.
We are lacking real leader on the pitch as well. Keeper showed again today why he never should have been dropped under Roy

OG will soon find out that some players can't play to his system. Ward Mitchell & Eduard to name 3 .He will soon and get it right. We were decent until last 15 . Glasner will have learnt more about his players in defeat today than he learnt in victory against a poor Burnley team.

Mitchell was awful today.. wins the ball then gives it straight back to them...he also has a tendency to get on the wrong side of players...I would rather have Ozoh than Hughes.. way better defensively...

Very typical but certainly even a draw would have been a fantastic result for me as didn’t expect anything. It’s a mentally weak team which lacks leadership and I say that without venom just observation. Needs rallying and belief. Hopefully Glasner can instil that over a longer time frame but lessons learned need to be quick and amended. Only positive is those around us losing.
Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!! |

No doubt their first goal was down to an error by Andersen and from my perspective Ollie's substitutions were a major disruption to our game. Let's face it though, not many of us expected a win today.
Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled. |

At 1-0 to us - Spurs looked nervous and their support quiet. Then enter Andersen - what is he ..dong - just knock the ball back to Johnstone - or put it out for a throw-in - but inexplicably he tries to turn and gifts them a goal - absolute brainless defending when you are 1-0 up away to a top 6 side..!! That then lifted Sours and their crowd and we were up against it from then on - you could see it coming..!! As for the subs - we needed fresh legs - Eze only just back from injury - so it was the right call but coincided with Andersen’s moment of madness..!! One other thought on Subs I would have preferred to see Ahamada and Ozoh - IMO they give far more mobility than Edouard and Hughes - who both again today proved they ain’t at this level..!! On a positive note generally other results went our way.!! And let’s be honest Spurs away was always going to be tough - but so annoying to be 1-0 up and give it away with awful and I’ll say it again brainless defending. Look Forest and Everton going to get deducted points, further points in Everton’s case - I think basically beat Luton next Saturday and we should be pretty much safe..!! So onto next Saturday - meantime Ollie have a word with Andersen..!! COYP

C'mon posters, look at the positives. Eze back & score a glorious free-kick 1st goal we've scored against them, away, in 3yrs(Benteke). Also, Forest lost, Whingers lost & Chelsea were lucky to get a point. It's also the start of the scalectrix season, one down 23 to go.
This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise. |

Never felt comfortable at 1-0. And the free kick really was our only good moment. We're still a poor side...not sure why we reverted to Roy ball. Eze CANNOT play in this system. Revert to 4-3-3 please. On a positive note, Richards was immense today. Edited by sprites (02 Mar 2024 5.58pm)
