Richards done well, not an easy place to go and win . Respect the point .

Thought we might have got turned over today the way we defended in the last two games. Much more solid today don’t remember Johnstone having much to do.

All this talk about playing Franca suggests that posters on here see him train week in, week out, and also have experience of competing in top flight football.

I've only seen Franca once personally, at Selhurst, and he was a f***ing random generator, tilted towards doing more harm than good.

Hopefully he'll be a cracking player in time, but a point at West ham with the injuries we've got isn't to be sniffed at, and the idea that Roy should roll the dice because we are bored is f***ing mind blowing. He'll play when the manager, who wants to win far more than any of us by the way, thinks he's more likely to be helpful than not.

How many U21 games have you watched this season, you seem to know a lot about our youngsters?

Not many, but my case is that are subs are poor, so why not play these young ones. They can’t be any worse. There was such a hype over Franca he finally gets fit and we don’t use him. Roy’s gone and il be glad to wave goodbye

Agree totally. It doesn't matter the personnel, it's the same as the first time round, the same dour negative tactical style that drags all the players down into Royball mode. It was the same with England too, that negativity that had the players performing way below their respective capabilities. Joyless.

Spot on, as always, Southnorwood. Remember that Roy has managed in Italy. He'd rather win 1-0 than 5-0,

Well I thought that was a battling performance from the boys today with a weakened side.We limited West Ham to very few chances and every player put a shift in and with a bit of luck could have nicked a win.I cannot believe the negative comments on here as all I expect is the players to give us their all which they did today. COYP !!

Think he made a crucial save in overtime which saved the point.

Really? Speak for yourself. I would imagine 99% of fans on here have far more invested than managers ever do. Just admit it, Roy is a dull manager with dull tactics and only ever plays youngsters if they are the last available fit player.

I thought Hughes was poor today ,Richards is extremely one paced and is never a midfielder, Ayew put in a good shift , the central defence was rock solid , and Olise had a few moments but my MOTM was Lerma , who i thought had his best match so far for us. I also thought if we had two out of Schlup, Eze or Dacoure available we would have won

I have only seen brief cameos by him. I recall he came on for the last bit of the Spurs game and looked somewhat wayward - perhaps trying too hard to impress.

But we did pay somewhere around 20 million for him and naturally supporters take from this that he wasn't bought to play for the under 21s, and was considered a near future starter for the first team rather than a long term project.

I don’t think the fact that Franca isn’t playing is the biggest problem, the bigger problem is why a club like ours thought it would be a good idea to spend that amount of money (and on another keeper) was a wise investment. We needed a ready to play player. The money spent on Franca and Henderson could have purchased that.

As a note, I really hope I eat my words and Franca blows our minds when he does get his chance.
