Can't see them reconnecting anything until after they have gone through Gaza killing anything that moves. Hamas will be in their tunnels well stocked and waiting for them. The only hope the hostages realistically have is to be either be rescued or escape before later bargaining.....it will be stupid for Hamas to kill them but there's little doubt it's going to happen to a percent. The whole thing is horrible and a complete sh1tshow.

As well as cutting electricity supplies, food imports, water supplies and medical supplies, the final solution is to bomb the civilian population and steal Palestine. What is your take on the Hamas atrocities?

What is your take on the Hamas atrocities? The Hamas atrocities are just that and Hamas deserves to be wiped out. However, Israel bombing innocent Palestinians and turning off power supplies is also atrocious. It needs to stop now!

I don't usually comment on politics, but I feel obligated to. Hamas, like most radical organizations, preys on young men who have no hope. The leaders think they stick up for their people, but cause pain and suffering to further their own warped beliefs and desire for power. I really do feel sorry for the majority of Palestinians in Gaza. Every time they think they are getting somewhere Hamas does something to enrage Israel and it decides to bomb Gaza, destroying all that has been built since the last time, and maybe more. It's a vicious cycle with no end in sight. I am not saying Israel is without blame. Every settlement is a slap in the face of Palestinians. Israel also controls the water, supply which is a real weapon to enrich Israelis at the expense of Palestinians. I don't have a solution, but maybe having the West Bank succeed (and stopping more settlements - or destroying the ones that exist) is the answer. The people of Gaza will realize it's Hamas that is the issue and either leave for the West Bank, or overthrow them. I feel sorry for the innocent people on both sides of this travesty.

I think there will be global pressure for my suggestion that could bring a pause to hostilities whilst hostages are returned as utilities are switched on again. Where I think you may be correct is that if Hamas don’t play ball or start killing the hostages, then ‘yes’ I see the carpet bombing of Gaza until nothing is left and Israel will try and ride out the subsequent condemnation. At that stage the hostages will already be considered dead. We can only hope for the best while fearing for the worst.

Iran are obviously involved in this and I'm hearing they were and are an active part of what happened. I also hearing that Egypt are providing humanitarian aid (frankly I support that) despite Israel's blockade and warnings. I'm hearing that there are still Hamas fighters in Israel, especially in the north and firefights are ongoing. I suspect that Israel will quickly take them down but the full picture of what carnage has occurred is unknown, both inside Israel and under the rubble in Gaza. When Israel go into Gaza, what do Iran do? The US moving their aircraft carrier seems to me an obvious warning to Arab countries to stay out of it.....but I don't think that's going to go down well diplomatically if it means Israel basically mow down Gaza....which contains millions of people. The lack of de-escalation seems to be a continual refrain. Edited by Stirlingsays (11 Oct 2023 12.27am)

De-escalation is indeed what is needed. No-one seems to want to pacify the situation, it is more a polarization of opinions that seems to be occurring.
I disengage, I turn the page. |

Everytime you turn on an electric light or tap, you know that it relies on a foreign power, who are the ones trapping in you that 107 square miles. A foreign power who use modern fighter bomber jets to level entire buildings by way of response to people firing glorifed fire-works, which can barely fly straight let alone be aimed with any kind of precision. Who do you vote for? A man who tells you to play nicely or a man who tells you they want to wipe that foreign power off the earth? I could go on and on but I won't because I know how difficult it is to shake free from the programming we are subjected to about the situation in the Middle East. Hammas are not the problem in Gazza. Hammas is the product of Gazza and its situation. Why should any right thinking person in Gazza be anything other than filled with loathing for Israel and what it has done to them? And act accordingly? Edited by Matov (11 Oct 2023 6.34am)

So the anti-racist organisation (allegedly) are showing their true colours. Do we continue to “take the knee” at matches after this? Edited by Spiderman (11 Oct 2023 8.32am) Attachment: IMG_0637.png (726.12Kb)
