I stand by the comments however, sack the lot 'em!

Phew . . .

Tho as an ex-ref & an assessor, i don't think its the Refs/POGMOL's fault, it's VAR. Mind you there are refs etc in the room plus an assortment of 'technicians' who have an input to the decision making as in distracting the VAR/Asst VAR from their sole purpose, which is to help the match official to make/get the right outcome.

How i wish for the days where refs were boo'd then given grief in the pub after the game, long before social media, ah well, progress eh?

This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise.

Arteta really gone rogue there. The goal looked dodgy but I'm not sure it could have been ruled out.

Think it was the combination in quick succession of the ball looking out, the apparent push on the defender and the possible offside. Also he lost.
He's not in Klopp's class of moaning but he's getting there.

His voice went all high and he was nearly crying. When he said he felt sick, I burst out laughing. I really wanted him to say seeek but you can't have it all.

In the final analysis the ball did NOT go over the line and it was abject defending by Arsenal in dealing with the cross.

There was nothing clear and obvious - I wouldn't be too definitive about where the ball was or who did what, and where.

I am informed that a new TV angle showed the ball did NOT go over the line.

In terms of VAR :

And Dermot Gallagher explains exactly how the officials were absolutely right.

Dermot does not always agree with the officials and is honest in his assessment of the decisions made by the referee and the VAR system.

OK. He also doesn't look as though he should be in a box in Ann Summers' window.

Wolves were robbed , the Sheff utd player just stuck his leg into the defender and fell over .
Refs are falling for this all the time ,the mystery of course is why is VAR not seeing it ?

I can understand why many (including Martin Samuel in the Sunday Times) are saying that VAR should be abolished.

It is far from perfect and the officials even less so but I have a feeling were it to be scrapped there would soon be a demand for it to be reinstated when the next ref's howler happens ...
