Happy Windrush Day! We must celebrate. It brought in the dads, & grandads, of many fine football players. And the dads of some future British boxing champions.

Plus the enrichment of the Notting Hill Carnival.....i do recall some fecker at the BBC once telling me it was the envy of the rest of Europe. Woke ? not always on the same wavelength as the Pride brigade.

I'm joking, of course. Honest. There are certainly some aspects of Caribbean culture that we could have done without, and the racial issues and absurd over representation in the media that have resulted in this country are off the scale. However, the hard working immigrant trying to make a new life and improve their lot while contributing to society cannot be criticised. There is room for diversity and different culture, but the problem is now sheer numbers. There are far too many immigrants arriving, and many are not required and are just a burden on our resources.

Strangely, there was little evidence of any of those with the Windrush generation (apart from a bit of reggae played in their own homes), or with the generation after - it's not until you get to the 3rd and 4th ones that this stuff starts.

Windrush was and is a disaster for this country.

This maybe true to a degree, but drug dens and knife obsessions were happening in the'60s for sure. I'm not going to labour the point today. Let's celebrate the good people formerly of the Caribbean. The dodgy ones? Not so much.
