Copied and pasted the following from the BBC:

On the future of forward Wilfred Zaha, who is out of contract in the summer, Crystal Palace boss Roy Hodgson has said: "I fear he won’t be playing here next season but we can always hope.

"I don’t know the ins and outs of the conversations. The club has had conversations with him and they’ll continue. I don’t know how advanced they are.

"All I can hope for, as a Palace fan, is that he's here, but I can’t give you an insider update."

Edit: A bit more below

On some of the reasons why Zaha would want to stay with Crystal Palace, Roy Hodgson added: "It’s a good club, we have a good team and it’s getting stronger than weaker.

"The potential is big and they hope next season to do better than this season. They’re all very good reasons to stay.

"Plus, if you’re that much of a club legend then that's maybe a further incentive to stay on. There’s plenty of reasons why he could stay if he wanted too and plenty of reasons why the club would want him too.

"He’s already left a big legacy. His performances for the club, coming through the ranks, I don’t think he needs to concern himself over his legacy.

"It’s more about where he sees his future and where he wants that to be."

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

My greatest concern is that Zaha doesn't get any offers from clubs that can win things and then, with a broken heart to go with his increasingly battered body, signs a huge contract with us.

I always thought Sakho, Cabeye, PvA, and Benteke suffered from a kind of deflation of the spirit after they signed for us. I'm sure they were all generally professional, but you need more than that. They played like they realised their big-time moment had been and gone.

I'd hate for Zaha to go that way.

Another summer transfer-window and Zaha rumors. As it is almost impossible to think of Palace in PL without Zaha, I hope we let him go now. A true legend, but age & injuries have caught up with him. Talk of 200 000 a week on a 4-year contract cannot have any root in reality.
Seems his dream about moving to a CL club will remain a dream, now seemingly in talk about a move to Turkey. We should be forever grateful for his contribution, but Wilf has been well paid and has no reason to feel sorry for him.
Wish him all the best, but as has been said so many times - no player is bigger than the club.

He's been the most outstanding player at Palace, ever, in my book. Thanks for the memories, Wilf. I think it's best for him to get a chance of real success at a top 6 club But a four year contract for a 30 year old is ridiculous

He had this when he signed for the then top club in the land, but things didn't work out for him for whatever reason. if he really wanted to go he shouldn't have signed his last contract, but I'm under the impression he didn't really want to leave and was after more ££££. And now where's he off to? Who is going to take a chance on an experienced but increasingly injury prone 30 year old on a large salary?

The only benefit of Wilf going is to earn a fortune. It will mean heading a long way east to secure that.
If he wants to keep playing top level and enjoy life, he would be well advised to stick at Palace.

Knowing our senior management,I expect he will be offered 2/3 years more on the same salary he is on which is absurd, out of line with all our policies, but he is Wilf.

Hopefully this could be re modelled to allow for say 30% of it in a very complex bonus performance/ fitness related formula that no one really understands but will be good to hide behind.

Im sure this would be acceptable in the circumstances and will not give anyone a problem. Start upping his rate and we could easily see a fair bit of angst amongst our younger stars who so far seem quite happy to work within our strict financial policies.

Nurtured properly, we should see three more good years from Wilf which will give us optimum chance of top half next season.

Yes, the 4 year deal at a reported £200,000 per week is utterly ridiculous.

He’s been brilliant for us but he’s past it and even to retain him on his current salary, on a 4 year contract, would be ludicrous.

Saint-Maximim joined Newcastle on £38k per week, we reportedly signed Eze on a £30k per week contract and Olise on £47k per week (Source Spotrac but corroborated by several other sites).

For a club like us to pay £200k per week for an ageing, injury prone player is madness.

Some have said, “Ahh but there’s no signing on/transfer fee”. That is just folly because if you buy a young player (such as Eze/Olise) there is the potential for significant profit when the big boys, such as PSG come knocking.

Let Wilf go and invest the money in a future talent.

I don't recognise the £200K a week for 4 years.
Has certainly been the catalyst for fervent debate !

On the subject of Fulham, yesterday I spoke to a couple of their supporters and informed them that Zaha would not be playing. They were delighted. He still has that ability to strike fear into the hearts of opposition fans.

Wilf, is still a brilliant ,outstanding player. First half against Bournemouth he was right on it , and his contribution to that first goal absolute top class. So well worth courting to stay with us. The problem for the club being how much is the still effective sometimes brilliant Wilf worth whilst aging and more injury prone, now in his thirties in football terms almost certainly winding down.
If an outside interest wants to pay more than Palace for the same risk, then only Wilfs attachment to the club will keep him here, the fact that he hasn’t signed up yet might well mean he is only waiting for that better offer..

Having watched the excellent Overlap program with Parish and Hodgson, Parish clearly and quite rightly isn't going to pay 200k a week to Wilf, i wouldn't offer him any contract, but if i had too, 80k a week, and 2 year contract, take it or leave it, the club isn't run just for Wilf, forget the sentiment, and think of the financial structure.

There will be a type of signing on fee of probably more than two million. Could be a lot more - even 5-10. It will be called a loyalty bonus or contract renewal fee. There will also be a substantial agent fee. The renewal before wages will be a number of millions.

If the decision has been made by Wilf that he is leaving it would be nice to announce it before the last game, although he will not be playing, an appearance at half-time would be nice.
