Getting Bournemouth's POTY on a free and adding some PL experience is an excellent acquisition to my mind. Edit: just had a quick look on Bournemouth's forums and they clearly really rate him. Weirdly they really don't seem to like us. Did we sleep with their wives or something? It's hard to feel too much animosity for a club whose fanbase put a blanket on their laps at games and enjoy a nice Thermos of soup. Edited by taylors lovechild (07 Jun 2023 9.19am)

Hopefully this will help our aerial defending, especially at corners as his profile states that is one of his main strengths :-) Interesting to see if that means he will play alongside Dacoure or is a replacement for him? It appears they are both defensive midfielders?

Doucoure will still sit, Lerma will be more of a no8 and Eze as the 10.

They would likely have been relegated without Rice, so it's a fair point as Lerma is not as good as Rice. Nonetheless, imagine spending all that money and still being where they are. They look like an average PL team but spend like a top 6 club. To be honest at Selhurst he seemed to disappear but what do i having not been brought up in Docklands

It does seem this is a done deal even though no official statement yet. Lermas , Bournemouth contract may need to completely end for that to happen.
