Telegraph reporting it’s Paddy McArthy in the short term with him being given the chance to impress.

Hopefully this can ignite a team like those fighters on Hillsborough back in 2010. We have 11 Cup finals left, let us approach them in true Palace style.

Bringing Derry back in the short term surely cannot be a starter. He was removed obviously because of disagreement with players and manager. Bringing him back would clearly not bring harmony to the group which will be desperately needed for us to survive. The comment that Roy never got the best out of our forward players I think should rule him out for the short term however he knows the club and players and has experience.. If the statement is correct that Parish has appointed MacArthur for the Arsenal game then this is interesting. This might indicates that he is giving the players the chance to stand up for themselves and sort it out. Interesting few weeks coming up and a rollercoaster ride for the rest of the season. I can't see Parish giving him the job permanently straight off the bat, which would make 4-1 not great odds. I made a killing backing Pulis years ago when he initially turned down the job but I had a feeling he'd change his mind and lumped on at 25-1. I have no idea this time around, but I suppose Paddy makes some kind of sense, albeit I don't really see how he is an upgrade? I suppose at least Parish and Freedman know what he's about. I prefer Paddy to Derry.

Please no Rooney, Lampard and Gerrard! Happy with Paddy, he knows the club, players incl. the young ones.

My vote would be for Sarina Wiegman – proven quality, delivers results, inspires her players, and makes worth while substitutions! Unfamiliar characteristics for recent Palace managers.

Why would he want to come here. he has got Celtic playing well and will be in the Champions League next season. What have we got to offer him apart from a board that won't dip their hands in their pockets Exactly ME, if/when he comes to our league it will be to a club in the lower top half I reckon. Problem is he has no competition in Scotland, it's a two club league. Celtic are miles ahead in quality and war chest but look at Gerrard. He won their league with Rangers but where is he now?
