We should remember that we have lost our engine room this season. No Jimmy Mac and no Gallagher. No wonder we're struggling . We are trying to compete with money bags clubs who can spend £300m in a transfer window? The financial fair play rules are being taken to the cleaners

In the recent Transfer Window, only Chelsea spent a similar amount.
The next highest spenders were Southampton and Arsenal on amounts in the region of £60 Mill.

Perhaps the players are still crying because nasty Mr Derry shouted hurty words at them. Diddums.

When was the last time we spent £60m or anywhere near it in a January window? It would have to have been before Hodgson. Indeed, apart from Summer 2021, when was the last time we spent that kind of sum in the Summer window.

At least half the teams in this last window spent more than we normally spend in our summer windows. We are struggling to compete financially.

Utd put all their eggs in one basket and signed Butland.

Have a re look at the 2nd goal with the amount of space each player was given,no interjections- they played us with very very simple tippy tappy touch football about 8-9 passes.Watching & watching each ball getting passed around with

That was clinical ( what Pat talks about every post interview ) that we don’t have we just watch.

Keep saying it :
we don’t have a on the pitch leader / mouth piece
we don’t have a run at them keep pressure on them team - we do have sit back & wait attitude
we don’t have a striker we don’t have a striker

So we see out the season in hope to draw our way out &
Summer clean out on players who just cannot make the grade & too old

and your point is? The reason they didn't spend in this last window is that they're up to their FFP limits. I suspect Man U have spent more in the last three years than we have in our entire PL history.

I saw an article not so long ago that was saying that any prospective bidder needed to be aware that UTD had some
£300 million still to pay against recent player purchases -

I guess against a purchase price of however many billion the club sells for (if indeed it does sell) it doesn't sound so bad but in most peoples language its still a lot of money.

Is there a chance that one of our two new midfielders can fulfil this role ? Seem a bit young to me but this is what we need

And another thing ..

Does it not strike you that had the players so active in the Man Utd melee yesterday has shown the same 'fighting spirit' in some of our recent abysmal defeats (e.g. the Forest match) then we may have quite a few more points and not mow speculating on possible relegation ?
