At risk of repeating what I said on another similar thread, PV couldn't do it in the MLS with the likes of Lampard, Villa & Pirlo in his side (amongst others)as well as no promotion or relegation.
I pretty much kept my thoughts to myself when he was appointed & obviously I hoped he'd succeed. Forget the investment for one minute & look at his managerial qualities & to me anyway he seems incapable of switching things up.
Hopefully we can drag ourselves over the line, but changes at the end of the season must come either with substantial investment or a clean sweep managerial wise including Osian Roberts.

My view on Pv, how we are playing now, is how I expected us to play under him.. this season is what I was expecting last year... last year I did not expect the first season we had... I bet PV didn't either...

I can only say after listening to Mr Viera talking about yesterday's game,we might as well pack up and go home if he thinks that performance was satisfactory,we are a shambles!!!

If my memory serves me well, Vieira said he was pleased with his team's approach to the game, the manner in which they defended as a team and their organisation.

Not PV's fault if there's no LB backup for Mitchel, no option available if Zaha gets injured, no decent striker, no dynamic box to box midfielder now Gallagher has gone, etc

The lack of left back cover was apparent to me since we sold PVA and we have had numerous transfer windows to address this. We currently can deploy Schlupp or and Riedewald who are really midfielders or bring across one of the right backs which unbalances the team. It is also debatable if the right backs are of premier league quality as well.

I rarely have much time for Garth Crooks, but I think he made a good point about Brendan Rodgers at Leicester and how even when they were struggling he remained calm and laidback. He said that is a sign of someone in control. Whilst we may want to see the manager tearing his hair out after a performance like Saturday's, that does no good for the team who already look low on confidence. Look at Southampton as an example of what happens when a manager gets emotional.

I keep repeating myself, but I will judge us more in the games I expect us to win. Of course the way we played against Brighton was disheartening, but they are turning everyone over at the moment and we had enough character to hang in there. If we continue to play like that against the teams below us then we deserve to go down, but I don't think we will. Vieira's record when we've played teams below us is really good and I still maintain the fixture list is what has f*cked us. But that's maybe just me.

As the top 6 seem to have now become the super 7 the fixture list will have an even bigger part to play next season in terms of dictating a run of games that could scupper many a mid table clubs season -

Thankfully next season we wont have to contend with a WC slap bang in the middle of it -

I Realy don't understand d what's going on rhe moment. In the transfer window I felt we needed a battered old war horse, to play along side our promising young midfielders. We have no leader on the pitch. But we loan 2 youngsters. As far as the playing style. We used to defend deep and counter attack with paste. Now we defend deep and counter attack slowly. The moveme t in the side is non existent, we must be a joy to play against. I think we are very lucky to still be in 12th place, but cant see us staying there long. Still, could be worse, we could support Liverpool....

I am firmly in the 'perhaps PV is not the answer, everything asides from our league position looks awful and this could end badly now' camp as opposed to 'PV out, full stop, no ifs or buts' camp however I think you've made a very good point.

Let's just say hypothetically, we somehow limp to April not looking too bad then pick up quite a few points to climb back to mid-table obscurity, I would then be inclined entertain more the 'playing squad investment' stance for improvement than a 'PV out' one.

I'd rather be in the position of 'We can't beat better sides but can flat track bully and finish comfortably mid-table' as opposed to 'we should be in Europe, winning cups etc so let's just get a new manager in every time until we fulfill this delusion'. Certainly for the time being anyway.

I really did see PV in a different light on Saturday where I thought we just looked mentally frail as a team albeit highly fortuitous. I suppose time will always tell and give us the fuller picture.

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

Rodgers has a decent track record, Vieira has a record of failure

Are you arguing with yourself there Lanzo or was it just an add on to the previous comment?
