Scotland does but Wales comes under the England and Wales Cricket Board whilst I believe that Northern Ireland is part of an all Ireland team

The NI have the option of playing for England though.

Am I right in thinking that the waiting period for switching playing allegiance has been expanded significantly from the time when Morgan quickly switched from Ireland to England?

The first couple of days of reporting this, the BBC couldn’t bring themselves to report who was fighting who. It was just reported as “unrest and fighting in Leicester…”

I had to go on social media to find out the background.

Our media has become totally warped. I’m not sure what their issue was in trying to hide the facts and a bit of background. Was it a fear of offending?

I really despair.

Next we'll be hearing of a person, of 'yet declared gender' running around murdering people. 'Do not approach as it remains unclear as to what may trigger them, cause offence or any allergies they may have'.

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

Fear of being labelled racist. Remember the same reason the Asian groomers got and are getting away with it. f***ing pathetic times I’m afraid.

Presumably it's all over as they won by ten wickets.

Yes. It has been reduced from 7 years to 3 which we immediately made use of by pinching Jofra Archer

Archer was presumably willing?

Look at most sports teams now and fewer locally born than only a few years ago. This applies to many sports and many countries. Rugby, cricket, football etc etc

Might as well just let players choose a country

I remember when Zola Bud (South African) became English almost overnight and 5 minutes later was in the Olympics wearing GB -

The first fifteen of the Irish rugby team is around half Irish. Yet, no one has a problem with it as long as they win.

It doesn't help the smaller countries though. We stole Declan Rice from Eire and then there are all the pacific islanders who get poached in Rugby.

I don't like the idea of international sport being used as a passport of convenience Vinnie Jones was English no wait he was Irish no hang on boyo he's a full blooded Welshman.

As Nationality boundaries get pushed ever further as the years go by it seems unlikely that they will take firm steps back -

I'm confused.

I thought they had made switching allegiance harder after Pietersen and Morgan but perhaps I've been a little out of the loop since those years.
