Even though we lost it was not bad performance, scored 2 goals hope we can build upon it and win next one.

I've just watched the goals... To be fair I was trying to see if I could attribute some blame for them but apart from the 4th I thought they were just quality goals by them. The 4th was different. Gave Haaland far to much space between the 2 defenders either side and he punished us for it.

Don't waste your time with jealousy. Sometimes your ahead, sometimes your behind, the race is long. But in the end it's only with yourself!!

Oh please stop the positives hogwash. Schlupp should have dropped to LB and Hughes to mid. Poor tactics from PV who can be a dick too often. Eze needs more than Ayew to pass to as he’s too slow. Needed Mateta with Eduard or Olise. Richards could cover Ward or Clyne who were job-sharing. Bad result not getting a point at least from 2-0. PV can be a total t*** at times. Mitchell probably got injured due to the stress of trying to cope with too many attacks because PV didn’t have enough upfield to hold the ball. PV fields unbalanced sides too often and has too much expectation from Ayew and Eduard who should not be starting before Mateta. WTF does Mateta have to do to get a start? Score hatricks?

I agree with Schulpp should’ve been played at left back once Mitchell went off.

Also agree with Pat constantly playing Edi and Ayew and the sides being unbalanced!

Don’t hate football pal. Hate the moment; never the game.
It will excite and depress in equal amounts. Been watching since 77 trust me , I know

I first saw them in 1961 (I was 10). They were in the old 4th div.

So I've suffered for a bit longer than you. Today I hate football.

I bow to your better judgement but have never hated football tbh

He has to be a better player, which obviously he cannot do. PV is right to try and play Eduoard into form.

Understandable, it’s called emotion and the love for your team which, we all share on here. This also shows how far we have come. Roll on Brentford!!

Good effort today, especially without Zaha.
In a real competition, Haaland would be drafted to Bournemouth. But who is interested in a level playing field? 'To those that already have too much, even more shall be given.'
We didn't get cleaned out like we did against Liverpool as recently as the season before last.
Before the transfer window closes, can we please improve on Ward and Ayew? Just a waste of time playing the likes of these worthy souls against the top six.
Reality check: are we good enough to beat Brentford, at home, on Tuesday night?

Yes.
One thing's for sure: someone's going to get a right hiding from us before long.

From what I have heard we started to struggle when they withdrew Cancelo and brought on Gundogan and that we could cope with the extra offensive player.

I do wonder if this threat could have been nullified.

Bring on Olise and say "Right, you go and operate in the space left by Cancelo".

It may have given Pep something to think about, with say Stones or Dias exposed against him.

Otherwise you are just inviting the onslaught.

We got in the way of the Manchester City narrative.

Thus far we have been an Arsenal challenge, then Liverpool's 'opponents' and now Manchester city's 'opponents'. Literally the entire narrative is about them and how inconvenient it is that they're not winning and how amazing they are when they're winning. If we get a point or a win, it's all about the crisis at those clubs, and how they failed. I still haven't heard even a vague explanation of why our third goal was disallowed. Literally not even a foot note in the game's coverage.

I appreciate the Premier League generates billions, and that is largely off the appeal to glory hunting little c***s all over the world, so coverage will always be biased towards the teams the glory-hunting little c***s want to watch. We are the also-rans, the undercard beneficiaries, the heel in the wrestling match .

Cannot wait to get through this run of fixtures so we can play some actual football teams, rather than brand conglomerates.

As soon as Mitchell went off, we lacked something. He was exceptional in the 0:0 last season. The margins are so tight, the concentration so intense, that our bench just couldn't cope with losing both Zaha and Mitchell in a game like this. Richards just wasn't as drilled defensively as Guéhi, Clyne, Ward, Anderson, Mitchell, Guaita, and you can't drop 2% against sides who spunk £60m on reserve players for every position.

f*** City, f*** their rubber lipped centre forward, f*** their boring pretentious tactics, f*** all the 10 year olds in City shirts, f*** anyone in foreign countries who supports a team thousands of miles away. They're all dead inside and have no concept of what supporting a team actually means.

Roll on the next home game, don't know who it's against, don't care who it's against, don't want Willo telling me who it's against. Just want Selhurst rocking and Wilf and Eze tearing it up.

I've been pi55ed off all night but after reading this I feel much better. Spot on
