Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!! |

Crystal Palace have extended Nathan Ferguson’s contract by a year until 2024, despite the defender playing just eight minutes of first-team football in three years. Ferguson has been plagued by injuries since joining Palace from West Brom for £10million in 2020. But Palace believe the 22-year-old can finally overcome his injury nightmare. Ferguson has made just one substitute appearance for Palace after suffering major Achilles and hamstring issues. I thought the tribunal set the fee at a figure less than £1 million which pi$$ed off WBA? I certainly don't ever remember a figure of £10 million. I think that was what we were willing to initially pay and then we ended up waiting for his deal to expire. Maybe this will finally be his year when he gets to play a full game of football for us. Or just half.

The fact that we’re giving him so much time……and money, he must be one heck of a player

PS Transfermarkt correctly state in the link Teddy has put up today that he came to us on a free initially. Edited by doombear (29 Jun 2023 2.26pm)

I get the sarcasm, but think about it, have we EVER given a player so much time that has contributed absolutely nothing before? Even Connor Wickham made 40 odd appearances and scored a handful of goals.

This does seem odd. There can't be many employers who would give someone 3 years plus sick leave.

Just another take on this debacle that's still not showing on the clubs website
