Connor has now played regular first team football for at least three and a half seasons , two of those at premier level, yet this is what he is up against at Chelsea.
Surely whether it’s Chelsea, or elsewhere , they have to be able to tell him exactly where he figures in any line up. If not his career goes on hold for lack of game time, In this respect he knows where he fits at Palace, and it’s not a bad place to be, his career has progressed and is only likely to progress further.
