Yes,hard to see any upside. Gallagher is of course on Loan to us and he has been a positive influence.

As much as I love Eze, he's not looked the same player since his injury. It will of course take time, but there's no guarantee he'll get back to the level he was at before. Sadly there's no room for sentiment and if we had the Cup Final tomorrow, you'd take DVB over Eze for sure. I personally see Eze as a wide player who can cut in rather than and out and out number 10. I agree that we'd need Kouyate in there too against physical sides, but having Gallagher, Hughes and DVB competing for two spots and having the option to bring one of them off the bench will give us something extra.

Why no Zaha? Have I missed something or are you speculating? He is under contract till summer 2023. Speculating. I can't see the club letting him run out his contract and letting him go for nothing. Edited by Stirlingsays (29 Jan 2022 11.43am)

Apparently according to Romano on Twitter Everton/ Lampard want him now. IMO he'd be a nice addition, but not an absolute must in terms of battling with Everton over loan fees etc. They'll definitely be more desperate than us at the moment, and likely to pay over the odds. We'll see I guess. [Tweet Link]

I think Wilf will be staying....who’s going to buy him...he’s not even first choice for Ivory Coast which is a little surprising...I would have him in front of Gradel every day of the week.....
