I was worried this might be a bit of a 'banana skin' game for us and so it proved to be.

Jimmy Mac was a massive miss for us today but to a certain extent we still bossed the game.

Silly defensive errors were our undoing. Nothing that can't be fixed.

Given that Burnley are a bit of a bogey team and that they have hit a decent spell of form I am actually happy with an away point.

Some people think football is a matter of life and death. I don't like that attitude. I can assure them it is much more serious than that.

Not a great performance today but the unbeaten run goes on. On reflection a draw is fair result.

Going forward i hope PV doesn’t think Luka will be able to replace Macca. We all know how good Macca is but seeing Luka in his place highlights the difference in quality. Luka is several yards off the pace of the game at all times. His set pieces are comically bad. Finger crossed Hughes or Eze can be worked into the team to fill that void.

i mentioned my worry about burn out last week, they looked goosed today,i hope i am wrong, and that this was not the start of a tired team going forwards.....

We were well goosed with defending balls towards our goal but our forward play is a million miles away from burn out.

A little bit harsh.

Was a bit taken aback that nobody posted he had scored YT, to make it 1-0! Nothing, zero, zilch, nish! I have never seen a thread here when we go 1-0 up, and nobody at all comments, but they do when he misses that would have made it 2-0! Then nothing, or maybe one, saying he gets the second! Baffling!

Is it really that baffling when you take into consideration the state of his performances over the last few seasons? It shouldn't be. Honestly I'm trying to fathom what's made thendifference this year. PV, more competition for places, RH gone.

I'd also be interested to see the stats on which part of his body he's been scoring with. Everyone was going on about him needing crosses, hasn't he scored more with his feet after at least one touch to control the ball? Who'd have thought that was possible given the general consensus was that his main threat is his head. It's a more complex thing than you make out, especially as the fella burned through all the good will the fans had banked for him a very long time ago.

Impossible. Willo would know that "less wins" is incorrect English.

I dread to think what Roy would have done to Gallagher if he had been here last season. 30 games on the bench and 8 starts as a holding midfielder once Luca gets suspended.

37/38 points needed at most.
We’ll get there with games to spare.

Why on earth are you talking about relegation?

Oh contraire- if he was so bad previously-surely a goal, or even a brace-should have the crowd singing his praises! In any case, the site was almost down as a poster said, so thats the real reason.

It looks like we missed MacArthur driving us, and our defending was very poor today. Ward had a bit of a mare.
Not sure why he played Ayew ahead of Edoward but there you go.

Milo instead of MacArthur? Why did we sign Hughes?

Not worried a bit by prospect of relegation. Just replying to the poster who said that at least 40 points will be needed. It won’t be that many and we’ll get past the total in comfort.
