Not sure how much truth there is in this article, but supposedly all PL clubs have agreed to not do any business with Newcastle to help get them relegated. Fantastic story is true. Edited by Goal Machine (25 Oct 2021 9.16pm)

So Staveleys got 10% of Newcastleand sits up in the stands glued to her phone. Will we see the other new shareholders? I’m thinking the 80% Saudis. Will they show their faces at a football match??

The following has been written by a Newcastle fan on a forum out here in Thailand. I have no idea of the accuracy of the statement.

Edited by Goal Machine (25 Oct 2021 9.16pm) Unfortunately, I think Newcastle will weather the bad publicity and this will be normalised. Not as though they arent problems with other clubs ownership, but this to many is clearly seen as a new low.

Thing is, a lot of clubs have tainted money - ofcourse, not all at the standard of PIF allegedly, but Chelsea, city are an example. It boils down to billionaires don't always get their money the 'easy' way and we all know money can corrupt, from bets, to owners, to agents. There's too much money in footy, ultimately and too much corruption, but some is over looked when others aren't. I don't really have the answer.... but this deal isn't a good look for the league and the investigation into a banner and those crying racist stereotypes are missing the point - invest that energy into the actual atrocities happening over there.
This was once a quality forum.... |

John Textor posted a tweet yesterday, referring to Newcastle fans. " How can you sing so loud when you have your head in the sand?" I'm almost disappointed that the police didn't take action, imagine the response if they had.

I’d strongly suspect the police complaint was made indeed by uni dropout Stavely or her husband (from Iran, another wonderfully civilised country). Both of them had indulged, posh-kid childhoods and likely never learned the meaning of ‘no’, swanning though life on family money. Witness the foot-stamping petulance Stavely showed when she thought her deal had been blocked. The police complaint was their second mistake in days, following reversing the plea to the waddling scum not to wear Tesco towels round their heads. Methinks there’s a long and painful learning curve ahead about the world beyond the money palaces of Dubai. As far as I’m concerned the HF have set the ball rolling in style, and now it’s up to other fan groups to make that learning curve as painful as possible. Realistically, if they're trying to drive home a deal, they're going to push back on barriers that get in the way. How many hurdles did Parish have to break down? Also, the fancy dress request was reasonable, if a little cringey. They nipped it in the bud during the honeymoon period. I agree that they've a long road ahead. I love all the bulls*** transfer rumours, when they've not even established a recruitment hierarchy or an intended style of play. If even a percentage of the rumours are true, then it's just a random and hopeful approach, with the assumption that an expensive player automatically makes the team better. Manchester United (and Ian Holloway) are proof that just doesn't work. Txiki Begiristain was the first crucial appointment City made. All that followed flowed through him.

It is not accurate at all from my understanding, statements have been made regarding this, it is a hedge fund and Blitzer has no say in who invests, apparently. Another Newcastle fan tried similar with Textor, Textir completed s*** him down, politely, so much so the Newcastle fan has deleted his account

Thank Gawd for Mr Parish and his buddies, that's all I want to add. It's a travesty that the FA/EPL sanctioned the PIF deal.
Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled. |
