if you were a current Newcastle player and know you will not be there Next season, bar a couple, would you fight for the club, i wouldn't, Relegation written all over it, and when January arrives every 30m player will now cost 130m, and they could be many points adrift by then they still have 13 games to play, before the window opens

Footballers often believe they are better than they really are. I suspect that many of the current crop are excited about better players coming in in every position except their own.

Tell the acadamy players that only one of them will make it they will all believe they will be the one.

I hope he stays of course.

He is at a big club , the oldest club in the world and a founding father of football . Having rich owners doesnt make you big it just makes your team harder to beat .

He is also at a club where he is at the start of something in the PV revolution .

Paper talk about Zaha and Newcastle.

It makes sense for them, not us of course. They will want to make a statement in January for their fans however most of the big stars wont move until next summer but they need something now.

Newcastle are a poor side so if you were Lionel Messi you wouldn't want to sign now but wait until the overall quality improves and they have a top class manager.

Saw this on the bbc gossip item

Newcastle United could spend up to £190m in January without breaking Financial Fair Play rules, with Tottenham and England striker Harry Kane, 28, and France forward Kylian Mbappe, 22, "within reach". (Telegraph - subscription required)

Something that hasn't been mentioned as of yet . . . FFP.

From what I have read it seems they have three years before being hit with FFP, so if they really are going to try and buy silverware then they may well throw the cash around in January. Of course given their new ownership I doubt any club will have qualms about hiking their prices up, especially given all the other 19 clubs in the PL are against the takeover. I would expect Parish to ask for at least £60 million from them for Zaha, whereas he might listen to lower offers from an established big club. The Saudis are so wealthy that money isn't a reality to them and any public messages about careful and responsible spending will just be for show.

Whilst I admire your passion we are not and have never have been a big club. Newcastle aren't the difference is they soon will be and Zaha has said he wants to leave.

Other clubs wont pay the fee I think Newcastle will, don't get me wrong I hope he stays because these are exciting times for Palace but I can see this happening. Newcastle can afford Harry kane but I don't see Spurs letting him go in January and Kane wants success now not in 2/3 years unlike Zaha he can pick and choose top clubs.

According to this it's the big boys who are complaining. Also Bruce is about to be sacked. And big surprise Shearer the Newcastle apologist in chief has a role. Maybe he should get a gong services to arse licking.

It is often the case when new owners arrive that "heads will roll" with this lot it takes on a whole new meaning.

this new development will most affect Relegation-fighting Prem clubs like us, and top 6 fighting clubs..... it will break the heard of Arsenal.

its another reason arsenal will fail to qualify for anything in Europe next season .

Financial Fair Play will mean that ALL the ticket sales at the big Newcastle stadium will go on player salaries. Thus they will climb up the Prem table for certain.
